When BK is 7-5 the Domer's might want to send him back.

Nah -- RPI is the 2nd worst way of measuring anything re: sports. The worst is wins/losses by a pitcher.

Wins and losses for a QB is worse but RPI is pretty terrible.

RE: RPI
FWIW, Sagarin (another questionable source) has the following:

33 - Marshall
38 - ND State
39 - BSU
43 - Memphis
49 - UC

RE: RPI
If we win out we could finish the year ranked. That's actually possible, which I never would have thought a month ago.

RE: RPI
Sagarin is better than RPI.

Re: how bad RPI is:

Assume one could take the 1987 Lakers -- a d@mn good team -- and magically transport them to the present and have them play D1, NCAA basketball. Assume their schedule consists of the 30 worst teams in America. Also, assume those teams play 50% of their games against the 30 2nd worst teams and they play 50% of their games against each other.

The net result........

You would have one of the best teams ever boasting an undefeated season with an absolute bottom feeding RPI.

Kinda like Marshall.....

You have to give the Green Turds their props. At least they have blown out most everyone on that weak schedule. The smallest margin of victory was in their opener against Miami(O) when they won by 15. Never scored less than 35 with an average of 47 over 10 games.

RE: RPI
Just read this from the selection committee notes, no mention of UC:

The committee still doesn't have a team from outside the Big Five conferences in its rankings but will have to pick the best of that group in the final rankings to fill a guaranteed spot in the New Year's bowls.

Long said the committee discussed undefeated Marshall of Conference USA, Boise State and Colorado State of the Mountain West, Northern Illinois of the Mid-American Conference and Memphis from the American Athletic Conference.
