Stab at Conference Bowl Statuses
Did not take CFP teams into account but it appears there will not be a team shortage.

P5
ACC - 10 eligible, likely 1 more, 2 possible more, 10 Bowls
B1G - 9 eligible, possibly 2 more, 9 Bowls
B12 - 6 eligible, possibly 1 more, 6 Bowls
SEC - 9 eligible, likely 3 more, 2 possible more 10 Bowls
PAC 12 - 9 eligible, likely 3 more, 2 possible more 7 Bowls

G5
AAC – 4 eligible, likely 2 more, 5 Bowls
CUSA - 4 eligible, likely 2 more, 6 Bowls
MAC - 5 eligible, likely 1 more possibly 2 more, 5 Bowls
MWC - 6 eligible, possibly 2 more, 6 Bowls
SB - 3 eligible, likely 1 more, 3 Bowls

RE: Stab at Conference Bowl Statuses
So four of the P5 conferences will garner revenue and exposure from 10+ bowls while the B12 only gets 6. Yeah, they don't need to expand!

RE: Stab at Conference Bowl Statuses
it's going to get interesting. There's 38 bowls total. 76 slots... right now using your numbers we have 67 eligible. 9 left to go.

I have 37 teams gone. So 104 of 128 teams destinies have been decided. 24 teams left. Of the 24 teams left I'm seeing 10 teams with 6 losses right now. (note Buffalo has 2 FCS wins and 6 losses, so they're gone).

I see 1 game right now with 2 6 loss teams- Illinois/Northwestern.

P5
ACC - 10 eligible, likely 1 more, 2 possible more, 10 Bowls
B1G - 9 eligible, possibly 2 more, 9 Bowls
B12 - 6 eligible, possibly 1 more, 7 Bowls
SEC - 9 eligible, likely 3 more, 2 possible more 10 Bowls
PAC 12 - 9 eligible, likely 3 more, 2 possible more 7 Bowls

G5
AAC – 4 eligible, likely 2 more, 5 Bowls
CUSA - 4 eligible, likely 2 more, 6 Bowls

MAC - 5 eligible, likely 1 more possibly 2 more, 5 Bowls
MWC - 6 eligible, possibly 2 more, 7 Bowls
SB - 3 eligible, likely 1 more, 3 Bowls

AAC and CUSA both have 5 bowls. CUSA does not have 6. AAC and CUSA share a backup with the independence bowl, so you could say 5.5 (well actually the AAC also has backups to the Liberty and Poinsettia).

Also, I believe that the MWC only has 6 tie ins, not 7.

Pretty much with everyone- if you have 6 wins(only 1 FCS win) you will be going bowling. doesn't really matter the # of tie-ins this year.

Also, the B12 only has 6 tie ins but a backup with the Armed Forces. Man, whoever posted this made a lot of errors.

There is a significant possibility that there will be more than 76 bowl-eligible teams, which would mean that some bowl-eligible teams don't get a bowl game.

I count 62 teams already eligible, and 22 teams that are 5-4 or 5-5. If 15 or more of those 22 teams win at least 1 of their 2 or 3 remaining games, then some bowl-eligible teams will not get a bowl game.

That doesn't even count 4-6 teams that could possibly get to 6-6.

Army is not bowl eligible but since it is a back up that probably will not be filled by the B12 I moved it back to six, technically though 7 was correct.

CUSA only has 5 primary ties this year. Positive about this. They could get 6 though if selected for Indep.

New Mexico
Boca
Bahamas
Hawaii
Heart of Dallas

Also backup to Indy (with AAC)

Straight off CUSA website.

You may be thinking they have 6 due to adding Bahamas, but they gave up Miami Beach so AAC could get BYU in there.

it's actually 61(Ga Southern isn't)...

Looking at things closer 61 are Bowl eligible- meaning 15 still needed. 37 teams are out. So of the 128 teams, all but 30 are accounted for.

I know, I was just pointing out they can't get eligible.

My bad, I thought they had New Orleans this year as well, I stand corrected. Should be an interesting two weeks. I am just glad my Wolfpack already got there 6th win. I was dreading the thought of having to win at UNC to get a bowl.

Odds are VT, SC, and FL will be in since they have winnable games next week against Syracuse, USA, and FCS.
