Yes. And who can say otherwise? The effing poosies won't play.
I agree. I say they win vs Alabama. I dare anyone to prove me wrong.

Who said anything about it being in the 'realm of possibilities '? I understand they'll never get the chance to play them. The point was that saying there's no way Marshall could beat Alabama is an opinion, not a fact. My opinion that Marshall would win is just as valid as any. The only way to prove it either way is for them to actually play- which I'm sure Marshall would agree to do tomorrow in a parking lot. But they'll never get the chance.
Once again, I hate this stupid beauty pageant of a system.

pretty certain I've given you guys props throughout the year and commented to it 'being nice' to see that type of match-up in a recent thread...
however, I just never played with dolls or imaginary friends....
it wasn't personal from the school side.....it's that blind fanatic rhetoric that doesn't address the problem nor offer a solution pokes and prods the starfish....
this topic in totality is much bigger than the herd......it should have been dealt with years ago......
I still contend that MEM is the leading candidate and one of the last additions to the upper echelon when she finally plays out.....

Great...but why not schedule some actual competitive football teams? It's a chance you take. You guys had ONE competitive FBS OOC team scheduled and it fell through. This is a failure of Marshall's scheduling practice and not the playoff committee.

Please link to the quote from a Marshall fan saying the schedule is strong? I bet you won't find one. Yes, the OOC schedule made three to five years ago with an entirely different landscape and an effort to maintain a few home games proved to be a problem. It's just not the only problem.

I agree and think it would be great to see an undefeated G5 CRUSH a P5 team in the Peach...but, I don't believe for one second Marshall has been shafted. You guys completely deserve the scrutiny. Could you have gone undefeated in the AAC or MWC? Maybe or just as likely not. We will never know. Isn't that the saddest part of this mess? To me, it's an administrative failure to not give your program a chance, not a committee failure.
FWIW, if you finish undefeated, I hope you get the bid and destroy your opponent ala UCF last year

So Louisville was your only Cabal team? Why only one. Heck, as bad as UTEP is one year I think we had three. Your AD sucks but it's not the players fault for his douchbagishness. I still think Marshall should get in but if it doesn't again your AD should be FIRED because he's the cause of your troubles.

Personally, I like the AD. He doesn't get a complete pass, but I see his side. There is no way he could have predicted what went down three years in advance. He also couldn't easily replace a quality opponent eight months before the season. This AD also hired our current coach and oversaw the building of a state of the art IPF and training center. He is an alumnus, former player, and dedicated to our success.
Whether you "can't tell" if the team betting their peers by over 30 points consistently is any good, we are undefeated. We are ranked 18th in the Coaches and AP polls, have a record setting FBS quarterback, getting national attention, and still in contention for the Access Bowl (leading in many predictions). Overall, our predicament isn't that bad.
