Not a good weekend
Got home Friday in time to see the Owls lose to Texas in womens soccer.
Watched the basketball team lose to Oregon State.
Got to see the football team get blown out by Marshall.

Oh well, at least I could see my daughter's team. No, wait, Notre Dame blew an eleven point 4th quarter lead to lose to Northwestern.

For the good of the city I'll not watch the Texans today.

While you're at it, why don't you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it?

RE: Not a good weekend
The lone Rice victory this weekend was women's basketball in their season opener: a 70-58 win over Prairie View at Tudor Fieldhouse. From the recap, it sounds like the Owls had a mix of good shooting and good inside play, led by a couple of underclassmen and a couple of seniors.

Last week was a tough week academically, and the students tell me this week is even tougher. Fortunately of the four teams competing this week (women's basketball at A&M, men's basketball home v Prairie View, football home v UTEP and volleyball at CUSA tnmt in Hattiesburg), only one has an overnight trip.

Go Owls!
