Highly likely we will get our first win of the season in this game, but don't play them like they are a D2 school. Play them and then cruise.

Will Bartow try a realistic lineup to get our bigs confidence, or will he just play 5 guards because that lineup can beat a d2 team?

Trick question! He will start the semblance of a D1 team with frontcourt, then turn to the 5 guard lineup.

Starting to make me wonder why Overstreet and Jurkin even considered coming here. I hope Overstreet sees some semblance of quality minutes.

Overstreet was recruited by Coach Carr. I believe Jurkin committed after Carr left, however.

I'd love to see us experiment with Banks/Giplaye, Williams/Giplaye, or Giplaye/Bates combinations at the 4/5 respectively. We scored 76 pts. on 43% shooting, with Rashawn going an uncharacteristic 3 of 10. I bet Rashawn doesn't shoot 30% the rest of the season. We should be able to be competitive in most games with that kind of scoring, and most of our scoring will come from the 1 -3 positions. Why not, then, shore up the middle and the glass with a bigger lineup?

Playing UVA-Wise signifies the start of my interest in ETSU basketball. I moved to Tennessee in 2001 and needed a college basketball fix. I grew up near Baltimore, where the passion for Terrapin and ACC basketball compared to the passion for college football in the south.The first ETSU game I went to was in 2002 - against UVA-Wise. I think Tiras Wade had at least 25!
