UVA-Wise couldn't beat a good high school team - they make Milligan look like Duke.

As you are well aware, academics are tough there and the performance of their basketball and football teams reflect that. UVa-Wise is a place that you recruit a student that can stay in school and then hope they can play basketball/football. Has always been that way.

In a previous era, a number of basketball players were academically ineligible by their second semester on campus.

It's a different world, which is fair enough. It just makes it difficult to tell anything from teams on such a different level.

Pretty much a waste of a game. UNCA should be a good test.

Safe to say Overstreet will redshirt, unless there is an unexpected injury.

There's not too much to say about this game, although I did like seeing everyone get playing time. I wish we'd see those kinds of rotations more often.

The scoreboard was a big improvement, but it was hard to read the fouls. Not sure if there is a way to make those a little bigger or not.

I had the opposite problem, the Red Fouls were easy, I had trouble with the yellow points (for us, I am behind the ETSU bench).

Either way, the fact that they are there is a big improvement. Not as ideal as having a hanging scoreboard with the information, but better than not having them at all.

Agreed...the fact that the court was turned around and the points and fouls were on the runner boards shows that they are willing to listen to feedback and make changes.

Here's a suggestion, how about just saying "Jalen Riley for three!" instead of the cornball "a 1-2-3 for Jalen Riley" every friggin' time we hit a trey. When did we get a new announcer btw?

Unless they changed things from game 1 to game 2, there is no worries for me on that because I can't hear what the announcer is saying anyway from my seats.

Anyone know who the announcer is now?

He misses a couple games each year. I think if he had been replaced we would have had some type of announcement.
