J......ust announced the new NCAA receptions leader, Justin Hardy, as being a TULANE player. WTF is wrong with ESPN? This is the kind of **** that always happens......... I guess if he played for a big time program like Duke or Iowa State or Kentucky they would make an attempt to get it right. Keep up the great work E$PN.

It happens because the vast majority of these people are not professionals. No way in hell does anyone that takes any pride in their profession make these constant mistakes.

ESPN is just scripted talking heads. She just read what she was told.

This started sometime in the late 1990's. There was a time when ESPN actually was a news organization and the entertainment side of things was just a bonus. Old school SportsCenter anchors were actually good at that their job, they made funny comments as the told us the scores and highlights. The actually got the facts right and if the made a mistake they made fun of themselves.

Great post LawJD, as usual. The old school journalism, as you put it, seemed to die at the same time Tom Mees did (at, unfortunately, far too young of an age). Berman (in his prime), Mees, Patrick,... ESPN used to be great.

Now, there are the ESPYs, and four pricks running a P5 pregame show, with one of them doing what he does best - covering his worn-out face with a mascot's headgear...
