This game is putting the crowd to sleep

I know Rian sometimes played out of control but IMO we really miss his energy. Garber does look more comfortable than last season but has already blown a couple short shots. Nobody even wants to shoot a 3 other than Juice.

Looks like the Rockets will be in my neighborhood the Saturday after Thanksgiving playing Oakland U. Hope they step up their game before that. It is a big high school gym, but they have had a lot of teams better than ours over the past 15 years. Probably better in 13 of those 15 years.

Was that Kurt shooting a half court shot that went in and out?!?!

First half thoughts:

We miss Rian Pearson.

Garber looks better but still missed some easy shots.

As a team, we've struggled to finish shots inside. Boothe leads with 10 points but all came from either the FT line or 10-15 jumpers.

Rockets experimented with both Boothe and Garber on the floor together--if Garber learns to finish, that could be a nice inside/outside combo.

We may struggle in games where Juice gets into foul trouble or is injured.

Hall's energy reminds me a bit like Lauf last season. Unfortunately he picked up 2 quick fouls and went back to the bench after about 3 minutes on the floor.

Overall, NAU seems a bit more athletic than us. Not sure if it's an energy issue. Maybe the team is reacting to Stacey's resignation? Not sure, but they need to pick up their play the second half.

Media TO with Rockets up 39-34. Briefly had a 10 point lead. Appears to be some frustrated chatting between Toledo players who have been torched on some recent defensive assignments.

43-37 Toledo with 10:55 left. Not exactly been a great game for the MAC favorites, but playing just well enough so far.

45-39 Toledo with 9:00 left. Refs have just about destroyed any flow this game had. Can't remember the last time we had 2 video reviews in 1 minute.

Nice burst by the Rockets now has them up 61-44 with 3:20 left. NAU has started to settle for 3s and missed the last couple.

Rockets getting a boat-load of free throw opportunities…again

With 1:52 left its 63-48. Rockets ball after the TO.

The sloppy Rockets have shown up again the final couple minutes. 67-53 under 1 to go.

TO and it's 67-55 with 47.7 to go.

With 29.2 it's 69-56...rockets going to the line...

TO with 22.5 to go and it's 71-58--rockets ball.
