That sucks. I wonder if it had been bothering him since the combine...it looked like parish cox had been outplaying him from what I've seen.

I think he needs more than 3 months to be judged properly.

If a player is slowed by injuries, is he considered a bust? IMO, a bust is someone who underperforms. Not the same if he's injury-prone.

Then I will phrase it differently---It looks like Ward might be another wasted first round pick from NIU. Whether injury prone or underperforming it is still a waste.

Glad I have Chaz on ignore. I only see his idiotic posts that someone else includes in their post. Ward got a lot of playing time, as a rookie, for a very good defense.

yeah everyone, we should start hoping no NIU players ever get drafted again, and also NIU football is totally overrated and never as good as anyone on this board says they are. Also, I like to just be negative about everything because I have a hipster viewpoint on life and just like to be in constant confrontation with everyone I come in contact with. Go Sports.

NFL
Larry English (DE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers): English posted three solo tackles for the Buccaneers in their 27-7 win at the Washington Redskins Sunday. The defensive end also played a large part in the Tampa Bay defensive line totaled six sacks and held Robert Griffin III to 207 yards passing.

Jimmie Ward (DB, San Francisco 49ers): Ward was placed on season-ending injury reserve by the 49ers Saturday after suffering a Jones fracture in his right foot. Ward finished the year with 20 tackles and two passes defended.

Rashaan Melvin (CB, Baltimore Ravens): Melvin and the Ravens had their bye week and did not play.

Doug Free (OL, Dallas Cowboys): Free and the Cowboys were on their bye week following the team’s game in London Nov. 9.
