It's been fun to watch him turn around Minnesota.

Giving up an 86 yard TD is not the way you want to start...

RE: Go Coach Kill!
They're down 14-7. I didn't like the way he left, but I do hope he has success at Minnesota. His coordinators are very loyal to him, so they must believe he is their gravy train and they like him. I also am glad he seems to have had a better year health wise. I haven't heard of him having as many incidents. I was skeptical of him because I thought he took too much credit for 'turning around' the NIU program. But he has done a pretty good job at Minnesota.

I'm kinda surprised people aren't over the Kill thing, but if people can hold a grudge against the old Herb'ster, I shouldn't be.

I am over the Kill thing. I said I didn't like how he left, but I am over it.
And Minnie just tied it up 14-14. 04-cheers

I wasn't being specific to you, just being general. To me, if one objects to how Kill left, they really should object to how sleazy college football is. And I'm not usually one of those "don't hate the player, hate the game" types....but it's just kinda how college football works.

RE: Go Coach Kill!
I am watching the Minnesota/ Ohio State game and rooting for Jerry Kill. I think that if he had to do it over again he would have been more gracious on the way out of DeKalb. He really did an excellent job recruiting at NIU and he has been successful with every stop of his career.

My biggest problem with him is that he did not leave his assistants in place for our Bowl game which I thought was a selfish and low class move on his part. It did have a silver lining though because it helped Tuke emerge. I will never forget what coach Tuke did for our program that season.

I don't like the way he left either, but that's on the NCAA. Until they have a rule that prevents coaches being talked to and poached until after bowl season, it's part of the game. Would love to see a rule like that implemented. Might make AD's think twice about firing a coach, as it would affect recruiting.

I got to talk to him for about 20 minutes down at the Orange Bowl, I am over it. I was pretty mad, more mad at the football system than at Kill. He is a great guy, enjoyed getting his perspective. I told him I was at Boise cursing him, he laughed and said really??? Coaches should be allowed to coach their bowl games after excepting another job, players and fans deserve that.......The only coach who is on the SH$T list is Sadler, he is crap.

Ohio State is really impressive since this new qb has gotten a few games under his belt.

Kill has done better at Minnesota than most "experts" expected. They played hard and physical yesterday and lost to a better team.

RE: Go Coach Kill!
He's gotten Minnesota back to where they should be: a middle of the road Big Ten team. They'll never be the best in the conference, but they've never been in the upper echelon. Only question remaining for him is can he win an FBS postseason game? Hasn't done it yet.

Coach Kill knows how to turn a program around. He also learned a few new dance moves.

Yeah, I was pissed at him for awhile afterwards to but I've gotten over it. Look at the great shape he left the program in. Nothing but well wishes for Coach Kill from me.

Love Jerry! He's done an excellent job there with tough recruiting area and resources for that conference. Also, of all my buddies that played for him, none have ever said a bad word about him.

To who said they were never upper echelon is incorrect. It's been a long long time but I belive they have 5 or so national titles.

I'm over the Kill thing (notice I didn't call him HWSNBN) but that's mostly because we won 2 MAC titles after that. I always thought he was a pretty good coach, as far as that goes. And yes, college football in general is dysfunctional in a number of ways.

I still have a problem with the Herbster, but many of the E$PN guys are similar to him. They just don't go Krakatoa on national TV is all.
