Maybe it depends partly on where you were sitting. We were in section 125, row GG, near the top, in a corner of the end zone, with the student section to our right.
We were in total shade almost all day, and all of us got wind burn. Flags on the opposite end of the stadium from us flew all day, although not at full force. During practice before the game, kicked balls were moving noticeably in the wind, mostly side to side.
For FGs, punts and kickoffs, the wind was mostly sideways, but somewhat helping left to right kicks, from our vantage point. Some passes thrown from our right to left fluttered, and some thrown left to right were high. Same with some punts.
It was really obvious on Elliott's kickoffs. He was knocking kicks toward the student section 5 yards OUT of the back of the end zone, on the fly, even on low kicks. In the other direction, he was generally landing it at the goal line, to 5 yards deep.
Beyond that, as the game progressed, we moved downward and toward the 50. Wind became somewhat less later in game. I don't know if it's b/c we moved down, or it lessened.
Weather forecast was for winds of 9 mph at kickoff, with higher gusts. IMO, the equal height of the stadium bowl, plus buildings abutting the stadium walls, cause the wind, when it dips down into the bowl, to swirl at times.
Yesterday, I don't think the wind was anywhere near strong enough to affect the outcome of the game, but I do think it affected some passes and kicks.
