Saw a sad story about a father whose son was run over by an unlicensed illegal immigrant that tried to flee the scene. He's asked the President to sign an executive order to bring his 25 year old son, Drew, back to life.

A few years ago I went to Mayor's Court in an Ohio suburb near me (supporting my then girlfriend who was trying to fight a speeding ticket). Before they heard her case there must have been 10-12 cases with individuals who were caught speeding and driving with no license and insurance. They were all hispanic. In each case, they pled they could not pay their ticket and the Mayor charged them Court Costs only (I think it was around $50). Not once they they address the issue of not having a license, not having insurance and they never explored whether the person was hear legally.

My girlfriend got caught going 50 in a 25. She was driving herself to urgent care after falling at home and breaking her wrist. The Court did not care about her excuse and nailed her with a $180 fine and Court Cost.
