Louisiana vs ULM pre-game thread
Alright let's get this thing started. Louisiana is starting to play a little better defense, ULM is struggling as of late, but this game is always close no matter the records. Every time it seems like ULM is dead for the season they find a way to pull out the W. Hopefully that doesn't happen this year.

Louisiana 31
ULM 24

RE: Louisiana vs ULM pre-game thread
Not sure what to expect from my warhawks but I've never seen this team quit on berry. So I think the team will be ready for this one. The defense has been solid but if the offense doesn't do their part this could get ugly late, but If the defense stops the run and makes the Cajuns one dimensional this could go the same way as last year.( with the o doing its part). ULM's secondary is very good and I think Broadway will make some mistakes against them. ULM 27-Cajuns 21

I hate making predictions because I'm usually dead wrong.

This year though I see a curb stomping in ULM's immediate future.

get in, win, gtf out as quickly as you can. The conference continues to push this as a rivalry. S. Al, stAte in football and Ga State in basketball. Those are our rivals.

RE: Louisiana vs ULM pre-game thread
I for one do consider ULM a rivalry anytime you play a team and the first thing you do is throw the records out the window because it s hard to predict a true winner that's a rivalry game. I would say A-State is a rivalry game also because the out come has meant so much to the conference championship the last 4 years. This game always scares me with ULM because they are always so un predictable. I know we are capable of beating the dog snot out of them but it never works out that way I'll just hope for an injury free victory by any margin.

Now that's the spirit because after we beat ULM I'll steal your quote when you play them.

ULL in a laugher. Getting humbled early in the season has helped ULL just like it did for TECH. ULL will not take ULM for granted and will play there best game of the year.

I see 42 -13 ULL.

Secretly I will be pulling for ULM but ULL is just too good for the chicken hawks.

ULM is not good at finishing off games this year, but ULM is not a bad team. We have the top defense in the SBC, lost by 5 to Texas A&M, and could easily and possibly should be 6-3 with losses to Kentucky, who we led at halftime, LSU who we were only down 10-0 at the half, and Arkansas St. Coulda, woulda, shoulda, I know. I just don't see this being a blowout, as I don't think we are that bad, but who knows. No result in this game would totally surprise me.

The Cajuns should be able to just line up and pound the rock on Monroe. Harris is back at full speed this week, so I expect that he will get 20+ carries and 100+ yards. If that happens, McGuire will light up the Monroe defense in the second half.

Defensively, Louisiana is much improved over their early season performances, and ULM has struggled offensively. I think the Warhawk's best option is to try to get C. Donald the rock, early and often. If they can establish the run game, they have a shot.

ULM does have the advantage of playing a gimmick defense; making preparation difficult, but that is less of an advantage in conference play, since we have all seen it before. Well most all of us have, anyway].

Sounds like ULM could be playing for the national championship if college football games were only 30 minutes long. Unfortunately for ULM, this is Big Boy football and these games last 60 minutes!

Just like Harris did last year against not nearly as good of a ULM defense? Harris had 5 carries for a whopping 10 yards last year! Within the last 3 games has Harris has had two 10 yard games and a total of 61 yards in the last 3 games!

I far from said that. I just said we are not a BAD team that gets blown out. Also your boy Harris has had a terrible time running against our D. I try to talk rational, but you guys want to be a-holes and talk smack it sounds good to me. As crappy as our season has gone, I am enjoying having a little fire over a game this season. 03-wink Truth be told though, we both know this game could end in all sorts of possibilities. How many of you guys are coming to the game?

I watched the ends of your games with Tex St and App.

Like those games this one will get decided in the fourth quarter.
