It's a long boring week, we all need something to get to the weekend. Discussing what ifs is natural since the UAB BOT shutdown rumors.

Perfectly understandable since C-USA has taken multiple SBC schools over the years. If an opening occurs in the AAC you can bet this board would be going nuts talking about who they would take from C-USA.

Realignment or expansion discussions and rumors have become a sport among message board fans and one doesn't have to pay to participate. Fun rumor on the realignment board saying that the Big 12 is now considering expansion with 4 teams being considered. BYU, Colorado St, Cincy and an unknown Texas team (probably Houston).

So if CSU were to leave the MWC, who would take their place? If Cincy and UH were to leave the AAC, who would that conference be looking at?

I can only imagine how much whacking off is going on over there right now.........

In Summary Ark. St. is too good for CUSA and Georgia Southern will soon be in AAC, SEC or ACC basically is the discussion...

lol - there are always some delusional fans for every schools but I have to say Ark St just has too many of them :)

I hope UAB Football isn't gone because if it is, I'm completely done with UAB Athletics as a whole.

However, if it is...I wouldn't be surprised if C-USA added South Alabama. Man, would Southern Miss be pissed. LOL

I would hope we add Ga So, App St or Ark St. Given CUSA history, my guess would be Ga State even though they suck in football. Large metro area, easy to get to via airport and decent mens hoops. We may surprise everyone and add nobody, or maybe JMU.

I really hope UAB stays and stays strong. None of those names from Sun Belt pool bring any excitement (for me).

I hope we get to keep UAB, but if not then I would love to see us add Ga Southern.

If UAB drops football I'd prefer to keep them in Olympic sports and just add UMass for football.

Easy choice if UAB drops. Ga Southern. Arky State has no market and a limited fan base with second-class facilities, but GASO has been consistently good and has a super strong following.

We aren't going anywhere.

Are you guys outta your minds? Arkie State? Georgia f'n Southern? LOL. It's South Alabammer, if it's anything. Here's to UAB getting the support they deserve.

We won't take another team from the east... Neither WKU nor MTSU will go west and would block anyone from the east from coming in... My guess is that it would be Lafayette...

this, +1 as long as UMass gives everyone in conference a basketball game every year

Ga St basketball and Ga So football.

It wouldn't be an eastern team, and if they follow the formula of the last round of adds, South Alabama is really the only, and very obvious choice. Now, Southern Miss may not like it, so who knows. Maybe Texas State.
