It's too bad the next game is Wichita State. This team can play a lot better and still get drilled..... not good for the confidence level of young guards.

I understand what we "should" have but I saw nothing last night that made me think they had any.

I'm no sunshine pusher but let's play the games. We all know the Wichita St game is going to be a tough, even if we had last year's team. Most everyone expects us to be a step down from last year. So let's play the games. Let's see if this group can become a team. They have talent, let's see if the coaches mold that talent into a team over the season. Admittedly, I have my doubts given the CBU result, but let's let it play out. I hope JP thinks his job is on the line, I hope the players know PT is on the line. Lots of good talent in that group, just have to find 5-7 from that group that can get it done...and that's the coaches' job.

If you are not quick enough to beat anyone off the dribble or guard a division 2 player having pride isn't going to matter.

Kendren doesn't have to be quick enough...Just crafty enough to get 1/2 a step and smart enough to draw a foul once he does...But it appears that none of our guards are trying to draw fouls.

In looking at the schedule I think we'll be 6-5 heading into conference play on 12/31/14 with losses to Wichita State, Baylor, Illinois / Indiana State, Stephen F. Austin, and Oklahoma State.

I'm not real sure about Indiana State so 7-4 isn't unreasonable.

I'm not worried. This group is all we have this year - players and coaches. We either win or lose. JP's group (& it's all his) either wins enough and saves his job or they lose enough & things really deteriorate. Would rather not see a tweener where we win 16-18 games & it keeps admin from making a change. We don't need 2 more years (including this one) of mediocre play to make a change. I'd rather see things bad enough to move the admin to change or JP surprise us & have this group come on strong. So I'm not pulling against JP & the players, I want to see them successful but if they aren't let's see the admin do the right thing.
