So, I'm not the biggest Pastner fan
But I don't understand why everyone is losing it. It is just an exhibition game and CBU has played us close in the past. It looks like Austin, Shaq, and Nick King played well, which we knew they would. All the newcomers struggled, which we knew they would. Takes time to get used to playing with each other.
Pastner is what he is, a guy who can get good enough talent to eke out wins over mediocre or worse teams and pick off a couple of top 50 teams and skate into the tournament. He can beat a similar talent teams in the NCAA tournament. He's never going to get Memphis past a sweet 16. He just can't form enough of a cohesive offensive and defensive strategy to do it, and he's too busy touting some ridiculous motivational techniques instead of actually teaching and coaching.

You need to read your second paragraph to understand why I'm "losing it".
It's been obvious for 6 years. It's coming home to roost this year......I hope.

right. it's been pretty obvious I'd say the last 5 at least, can't fault him for the first season, that was actually a decent coaching job. Why are people surprised to realize we're not a well-coached team?

I went in to this season believing that Josh would change styles and adapt to his talent. Now, I don't believe he will change and/or adapt to anything. He is what he is which is why he's not the man for this job. The Pastner era should come to an end. Sad? Yeah, you hate to see anyone fail. Necessary? Without question. And the sooner the better.

Josh is a horrible basketball coach.
It is what it is.
And we're getting all that comes with it.

Well, I got banned when I went nuts at halftime of the virginia game in the tourney and called him a "dork" because I realized it was only ever going to be a string of blowouts against good teams in the tourney, so be careful what you say

You know, the truth hurts. And clearly Josh is not the man for this job.

He needs to go, and we're about to be sucked into the abyss of irrelevance.
The sad thing is half of the fan base is complacent with this garbage.

the tigers just don't matter as much as they used to. The Grizz are 7-1 and play tomorrow. That's what everybody's more interested in now.
