Embarrassing.

This has all the makings of a brutal season.

And all the markings of a coach squarely on the hot seat, which is well deserved.

Yeah. Joe Paterno did it for years. He was truly nothing but a gimmick pusher.

Paterno did nothing wrong except report to the right people.

Joe Paterno was a great coach. Sad how his career ended.

but Paterno didn't take then off one week and then put them back on the next. Paterno's philosophy was TEAM before ME, so the name NEVER went on the back of the jersey. Josh seems to think the ME is fine one week, but then bad the next. It seems as if no names on the back would be his philosophy all the time, if that were something he were trying to truly instill.

Paterno didn't take the names off. They never had em on there in the first place. Paterno wasn't a symbolism over substance , L Ron Hubbard clap clap clap guy. Taking names off the back of the uniforms is jr high crap.

Paterno had full authority to fire his friend and he didn't.
