GTG!!!

Oh, come on. Wouldn't you rather win a banner and have it taken down than not win one at all?

Pastner has used our program to provide second chances to kids who have had some pretty serious charges made against them. Why as a fan base can't we give a coach who lied about a BBQ a second chance?

If you think it was just about the BBQ, you're more naive than I am.

Explain.

He was clean at Wisconsin_Milwaukee and took them to a S16.

There were issues prior to the BBQ incident.

http://deadspin.com/5898192/bruce-pearls...in-classic

Also, his behavior in the BBQ situation was atrocious. He not only lied to the NCAA, but then attempted to get others to lie on his behalf. I believe we would lose all credibility as a program with some modicum of integrity by bringing him on board. Call me old school, but I care for other things apart from winning games.

I have no desire to hitch up to that circus. Just my view. No Pearl today or tomorrow. Just my view.

The high and mighty NCAA hypocites gave him the death penalty for inviting some recruits over for a cheesburger. Think about that for a minute.

Cal used to fly their families around on an airplane. Sent other people to take his recruits tests and only got caught once. I'm not saying Pearl is an angel but a backyard BBQ? Big deal.

He was stupid enough to get caught, I guess he'll be more careful while breaking NCAA rules.

If I remember right Pearl was also cited for texting and making phone calls during dead periods or whatever you call it.

None of that matters. None. Pearl knows he f ed up. You can bet he will be on his best behavior for the long haul. Too much money at stake for him. Plus he doesn't want to demolish his reputation any further.

He's a helluva coach and recruiter and marketer. He'd absolutely be a huge hit here. And he'd be squeaky clean.

All I'm saying is the NCAA thinks they have the right to execute someone for going 5mph over the speed limit in a school zone. The punishment should fit the crime better at the very least.

You have to agree he was made an example of to some degree.

Trying to find the NCAA bylaw that makes looking like an Ooompa Loompa an NCAA violation.

You must know it, so feel free to cite it.

Toodles.

He lied about having recruits over for dinner and then asked others to help cover his tail? Say it ain't so... 03-lmfao

Dude served his time plus some for other guys like Cal and Roy Williams who they will never touch. I would take Bruce in a heartbeat.
