I'm not ready to jump off the Hernando-DeSoto just yet (unlike seemingly everyone else here!), but I don't agree with this line of thinking.

Exhibitions against D2 teams should be automatic if you have D1 talent and coaching. There's no sugar-coating this one or softening the blow. It stinks. Bad. And it is a legitimate cause for concern. Hopefully it serves as a wake-up call for our guys and they do like Syracuse did that year they lost to LeMoyne and went on to dominate the regular season and become a 1 seed.

One big difference, Syracuse has a real coach.

Calling him a "real" coach doesn't make that loss better, it makes it worse.

Brad Martin was a co-chair and definitely involved. I was only wrong about Bowen.
