Quarterback Count
For as uneven as our defense is, they seem to take out a LOT of opposing QBs. While it isn't a stat (yet), by my count we have injured/put out of the game:

Kent State: 2 QBs
Ball State: 1 QB
Toledo: 2 QB

Thats a scary defense number if I am coming up against the NIU defense. And while the name of the game isn't to injure the QB, the hurt the defense puts on these guys shows a lot of drive to keep pressure on.

The one guy from Toledo (Woodside) was already hobbled though, I don't think we knocked him out, did we?

That would still be 3 QBs though.

yeah, i'd give us a .5 for that. Maybe a full point for scaring him to just stay on the sidelines.

Didn't we knock Siemian for NW out at the end of the game?

Hitting a QB already down with a knee to the back of his helmet, unintended or intended is not really taking it to the opponent's QB.
It's either an unfortunate accident or right up there with sucker punching.
To me it looked like an unintended injury.

It was definitely unintended, don't need any rumors starting that it was a sucker hit. Mason probably got you more points, than he would have anyway.

Hope the kid is OK and gets to play out his season.

The fact that you even brought up the intent of the hit is idiotic

That play was nothing but accident. Ford was making the angle to tackle as Julian was being tackled and fords knee smoked his head.

Both guys could have been injured badly there. intent is laughable.
