KALAMAZOO -- The Western Michigan hockey team will honor alum and newly inducted member of the WMU Hall of Fame, Jamal Mayers, at Saturday night's game against St. Cloud State.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to watch the Broncos unveil Mayers' Hall of Fame banner in the rafters at Lawson Ice Arena.

Mayers played at Western Michigan from 1992-96 racking up 159 career points in 155 games. He ranks 15th all-time in scoring in program history and was helped the Broncos reach two NCAA Tournaments.

He played 14 seasons in the NHL appearing in 915 games, scoring 90 goals and racking up 129 assists. Mayers won a Stanley Cup in 2013 as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks.
