It only gets interesting when ULM wins. Then the ULM fans who generally don't visit often come out of the woodwork for some fun, and a few Tech fans show up and Cajun fans have a rough miserable week.
If ULM loses though, most of the trouble gets confined to the Warhawk message board, where they deal with any of the usual number of Cajun Trolls.
We generally avoid their board like cancer. There are only one or two that actually go over there to jaw with them.

This is such a Mickey Mouse conference, why can't we just have a championship game at the end of the season? UL versus Georgia Southern. What would be the harm? Low attendance LOL!
We have 11 members. We do not have divisions. We CANNOT have a championship game under the rules. The fact that we have 11 members is a result of raiding by other conferences.
The conference did not decide to be raided to make you unhappy about not having a championship game.
In order to go to 12 members we need to invite another school to join and go through the transition period. In order to do that we need good candidates for membership that everyone can agree on. There are no such candidates at this time. The lack of good candidates also is not the fault of this conference.
Why is this such a difficult concept for Cajun fans to understand?
Why do assume he's the voice of the Cajuns? I sure don't weigh you fan base based on your posts.
Most Cajun fans hate the idea of diluting the conference by adding for the sake of adding. We have been very vocal about that.
But I guess its more fun to take more digs at us Cajuns.

Juggernauts. We would struggle. La Tech goes to Paulson and wins by 50.

Its possible because if we go to NC St without a doubt we win that game.

Delusion runs deep with this fanbase. A lot of smack talk coming from a team that got rolled by two G5 teams by 25+ points both times. 2 losses < 3 losses.

let's just all admit that TK probably threatened to not join the conference if we had to play ull. TK was obviously scared of playing someone with such a long tradition of winning.

I remember it predicted the exact score of the Alabama-LSU game two years in a row.
When I get home I will have to pull it up and run the numbers for Georgia Southern versus both Louisiana Lafayette and Arkansas State on a neutral field.
Per my Six Sigma Black Belt Training all models are wrong, some are just more useful than others, so I'm curious to see the process and the results.

In all seriousness, we really need to be able to throw the ball to have a chance against Navy and ULM. I don't know what Ellison's deal is but we are not throwing as well as we were against NC State and Georgia Tech. We had guys open for passing all day and couldn't complete them. The team we brought to San Marcos probably wouldn't beat StAte or UL.
No disrespect meant to Texas State, I don't think we really got their best game either, thank goodness.

It had GS going 1-1 against ASU and Louisiana Lafayette.

People tend to figure things out as the season goes along, and maybe our improvement has not happened at the pace that people are figuring out the offense and how we run it. Except for the offensive line and especially in the backfield we are very young (ULL and stAte will get to see Brieda, Ellison, etc. in a few years). Troy and TX ST had good front 7s (8s sometimes), a game plan, solid tackling, and discipline. That is the norm in this conference. We made less mistakes than TX ST and out talented Troy especially their offense. It's more fun to discuss a tight game at TX ST or USA, than a blow out of Catamounts. And why are there so many "cat" people in this conference? (no doggies, so I guess that's good).

I heard TK only agreed to join the conference because he knew that UL-Lafayette would be leaving for the NFC South after the 2015 season. We would be luck to hold them under 65 points.

RE: Hypothetical Ga Southern vs. UL/Ga Southern vs. A-State?
IF played right now:
GS @ UL: 31-35
UL @ GS: 31-28
GS @ AS: 31-42
AS @ GS: 31-38
Beginning of the season:
GS @ UL: 42-21
UL @ GS: 17-42
GS @ AS: 35-38
AS @ GS: 28-35
We were playing a lot better early and have kinda faded (maybe its our depth, but I don't see a lot of teams replacing their starting QB). UL was struggling early and have seemed to have their groove. stAte has played well all season and would be a great game to watch.
