GS played close to the last couple minutes. Had the opportunities to win. Still, it looks promising and I don't think we'll be as bad as everyone expects.

Illinois beats Ga. Southern 80-71. A pretty good showing by the Eagles tonight. A spate of turnovers in about a 5 minute stretch and a shooting slump did us in. But honestly I thought we would lose by 20-25 so all in all not bad.

Sun Belt 5-1 today with 1 game still going. Texas St. and Seattle tied with about 12 min. left to play. A good day. 4 non-D1 games were wins as they should be. Texas-Arlington gets a good non-conference win vs. Bradley. Ga. Southern is not embarrassed vs. Illinois. We need Texas St. to beat Seattle to finish 6-1 and this will be a very good day.

Cats WIN by 9 on the road, against a Seattle team picked to finish 2nd in the WAC.

Good win for Texas St. 6-1 on opening day with 2 out of 3 D1 games being wins and Ga. Southern actually played Illinois competitively.

Hope this continues.

Me too! Looks like the Belt might be stronger this year than last, top to bottom.

Oh...it wont be forgotten. Fans have been waiting for a good excuse to bring out the pitch forks, and were just provided a very good reason.

Watching a D2 school predicted to miss its own conference tournament dance on your midcourt logo is one of the more embarrassing things all 200 fans in attendance have probably ever witnessed.

did they really dance on the logo...... lol, that's too funny ....its Exhibition. times have changed, I dont care who you beat, if it don't count, no need to get that excited.......unless the game is more than just basketball, like social issues or something deeper like that.

perhaps they were praying at center court. some teams have been known to do that after a game.

We're 1 game in. Don't count on TXST holding up their end of the bargain just yet.

Unless it was a liturgical dance...they were dancing. Their coach yelled something about acting like they had been there before, and they eventually decided to shake hands.

well one time.....a long time ago.....in a state, far, far away.....there was dancing on a center court logo. the coach (of the dancing team) stated his boys were praying.....like they do after every game.

some other shenanigans may have followed.

I think we're gonna have a decent season this year. we wont be world beaters, but I'm expecting us to finish in the top 50% of the conference.

For Ohio, Appalachian State was a 1 and done buy game. 7,113 in attendance tonight after 11,180 in the opener. Made the SBC look real tiny tonight.

To be fair...App State is on probation and recovering from a disastrous coaching hire. They are the worst team in the conference for a reason.

Good chance that this will be the worst team UAB has ever had. Not a good last few weeks to be a UAB fan 03-razz. Super young team with a young coach who I'm not sure can coach. We also lost our (arguably) best player and one of our only upper classmen before the season started.
