that may be so ...
but he's in no danger of losing the commonwealth's support in the party primary or general election ...
but just think ...
each time a press release emanates from campaign headquarters ...
it's going to read dateline: Louisville ...

RE(A)D 'N BLACK ALL OVER

For our ACC who may not know. Louisville and Frankford are run by the dems. There has not been a republican mayer since ( well forever). The republican power base is in rural counties.

Jefferson County has had 2 Republican County judges before the Merger. E.P. Tom Sawyer, (Dianne Sawyers Father) whom died in a car crash and later Mitch McConnell.

The State of Kentucky does however Love the Money that Louisville gives Them annually because We are a Commonwealth like Virginia.

The last Republican to hold a county wide seat in Louisville was Mitch McConnell from 1977 to 1984. Mitch won election to Congress in 1984.

When they were founded more power resided at the city level in the Commonwealths than in the States. (It has since changed.)

I thought West Virginia was a commonwealth

I thought West Virginia was a commonwealth

"During the civil war, Virginia seceded from the union to become a confederate state. West Virginia seceded from Virginia and decided to join the union. At the time, West Virginia did not choose to retain the commonwealth status; instead, it became a state in the U.S.A"

Commonwealth vs State

West Virginia is much like Italy. They changed sides during the war so they could be on the winning side. Fun Fact: Joe Manchin is actually Benito Mussolini.
