Talked directly to my representative just now, and my senator's office.

Two points:

1. I encouraged them to offer a full-throated public endorsement of UAB football.

2. When considering any legislation regarding the UA Board of Trustees ask themselves of the wisdom of putting the state's most valuable assets in the hands of people unaccountable to anybody.

I contacted my legislator as well. He was just elected to his first term and is apparently a big UAB supporter as he has basketball season tickets and donated to the bball locker room renovation.

He said he thinks UAB football is important and will talk to Mackin.
