Favorite Individual Performances
Thought this might be a good topic while waiting out the two-week stretch before playing again: favorite individual Bronco performances so far this season. Here are a few of mine:

Zack Terrell: Toledo
I know it came in a losing effort, but to throw for 300+ yards without a turnover in those conditions (while battling through injury)...I think this was his finest effort of the season and will be a hard one to top.

Jarvion Franklin: (tie) at Purdue and at Ball State
Franklin has been so good that you could probably name just about any week. I couldn't pick one; hence the tie. At halftime of the Purdue game, I felt like no matter the outcome, the game was already a win - we had found our back of the future. After the game, I wondered if we weren't already looking at our best back since Robert Sanford. He's done nothing to dispute either thought since. I loved his game at Ball State - speed (his 60-yard TD run late) and strength (throwing off 3-4 Ball State defenders late on our game-winning drive) stood out in this one. Considering this game was the turning point in our season, I have to include this one.

Daniel Braverman: at Ball State
Tough one here, and I'm sure someone out there has a favorite that may be better. I felt like he was a threat throughout the game at Ball State and punched in the game-winning TD, which is why I give it the nod.

Cleveland Smith: at Idaho
He had a breakout game for a defense that had been lacking in sacks for over a year leading up to this game. A dominant performance that gave me hope that better days might be ahead for our D.

Andre Turner: at BG
His hit on Knapke was literally a game-changer. Couldn't have come at a better time and made a major difference in what was probably our best win to this point.

Robert Spillane: at BG
It seems like he's gotten better every game, but I thought he especially stood out in this game. It seemed like he was all over the field making plays.

Trevor Ishmael: Ohio
Pick-six! Hard to argue against this one...

J. Schroeder: Toledo
Like Terrell, he had a fantastic night in awful conditions with great punts throughout the night and zero shanks. He far-outperformed his Toledo counterpart and put us in favorable conditions throughout the night.

I know I've left out a number of other deserving Broncos. Feel free to add names and/or suggest other "favorite" performances...

I'm going to sound like a basher or bad person -- but I'm not at all. Franklin can be stopped. He really can. And he's had games which expose that.

NOW: If our D is making the other team punt after not much more than 1 first-down on average, yes -- he will wear you down. And rack them up. He is a Great RB. But he's too predictable where he's going to run most of the time. We almost give it away as if it's a 1st and goal at the 0.5 inch line or something, too often. And even if it's not the play call itself, he just does go right up.

IMO, it's great for a lower-scoring game (see @BG, oddly enough). But for a team that can score well on us? Not good if they can keep him contained for 3Q -- because that will mean all 4Q. I think that's why Fleck said that thing about him needing to improve (which I was SO thankful of him saying that).

With ALL that said though -- no, he's a freaking stud and awesome -- as a true Frosh RB! It's like Sanford's genetically modified son from a lab, but I digress.

I agree. When it comes to bad weather, it comes down to how well you deal with things in special teams and how well you deal with mistakes for the better. Unfortunately Haldeman bonked too many times and that cost us -- but yes, he counteracted that. You would have expected Haldeman to not necessarily be as "wow, he's just doin' it!" -- but not the opposite, which cost us. But again, it's Toledo. At that point we were all hiddenly semi-happy that we were competitive, but as the weeks roll on with wins we're more like "WTF?!"

Good one - I completely forgot about Davis. I agree.
