RE: No spread.
Yeah, 3.5 to 4pt favorites now.
Here's the thing about that Hustle article: They're cleared to play, but in another article earlier, Campbell said they're cleared to play because of NOTHING BROKEN in MRI... and said "Will they be able to help us if they do, or hurt us? We'll find out", etc. (Don't quite me for EXACT words, but he said something to that effect).
I would not expect the center & qb each to be at full-strength. IMO, I think since their backup QB doesn't seem so good, they're like "Alright Woodside, we need you to try this out limping a bit; don't show any weakness."
If I'm NIU -- BLITZ the heck out of him and see how healthy he Really is. You may be able to get past the center in doing so! :)

Sagarin has Toledo a 0.22 point favorite.

I wouldn't trust HustleBelt.
More reliable than HustleBelt, Toledo's beat reporter says otherwise:
http://www.huskiewire.com/blogs/entries/.../index.xml
Quote:Steve Nitz: First off, do you expect Toledo QB Logan Woodside (leg injury) to play Tuesday?
Nick Piotrowicz: I do not. Matt Campbell has been saying all week that he is hopeful Woodside will play, but I just don't see it. His practice time has been pretty limited and he has been wearing a cast. Woodside isn't fooling anybody into thinking he's Michael Vick, but he can run a little bit and Toledo runs the zone read at least a few times per game.
I just don't know that he can help the team seven days after getting knocked out of a game.

"Now, the Huskies did Toledo a huge favor by losing to Central Michigan. This game essentially has been the MAC West championship game in the past, but Toledo can lose this game this time and still win the division. It doesn't have the gravity it did the past few years for Toledo."
...huh
If NIU wins this and the final 2 they go to the MACC, correct?

Correct. I don't think a lot of people expect NIU to win out at this point, though.

Yeah but in previous seasons a toledo lost ment they were done totally. Now if UT drops to NIU and win out... an NIU loss to OU or WMU would put Toledo back into the MACC. BS comment though. The game holds the same magnitude.

IMO, if you lose this game, going to the MACC doesn't mean as much.

GOING as in personally visiting it to watch the game firsthand? Yeah. If one's team isn't playing, the game doesn't mean as much as if they were. Yeah, Duh. :)
NIU, I'm asking you guys to blitz Woodside to aggravate his leg if/when he's in there... as well as the center's half-injured situation -- long enough so they become vulnerable & lose to BGSU, too. Enough so after the BGSU game, they heal just fine and do well! :)

Not that I put any weight on this this, but this Julian kid had some big time offers coming out of high school. Turning down Wisconsin, Arizona, NC St, Boston Coll, and a slew of mid majors to go to Toledo......
Anyhow, he must have talent, but hopefully the inexperience is noticeable, if he plays

Guy throws the best deep ball of the UT QB's.

Actually, I think Hare will play the game of his life. He's not a rookie any more and he's due for a big game.

Turdledo could also easily lose to BG. We have to finish strong though.

Didn't Julian go 2-7 last week?
Of course Boca says he throws the best deep ball. He's probably better than Michael Jordan at basketball too.

That is indeed correct. It's the same scenario as 2011.
