Perspective:

This Saturday, the Tigers will try to get the 7th win of the season.

If it happens, it will be only the FIFTH time in my lifetime that the Tigers have won 7 or more games in a season.

I'm 38.

I am 51 and those 13 years got me 7 more 7-win seasons. :-)

I just noticed that the first Tiger game played after my birthday was a 17-10 victory over Miss St. I think this was our first victory over an SEC team, so I guess I brought in some good Tiger luck!

Back to your original point though, since '76 we havent had much success on the gridiron. That's why we REALLY LOVE IT when we finally have some!

Dang, I forgot how young some of you are. No wonder you are so excited. The 1970's were lots of fun, with competitive teams and a lot of winning. Our DB's were quite a corps.

I got here in 85 and have certainly sat through my share of crappy seasons but there was alot of excitement in some of our 6 win seasons because of who we beat. I was surprised looking back over my time here to see how few seasons we won 7 or more.

I attended my first Tiger football game in 1952, and I certainly have sat through my share of crappy seasons.

HOWEVER, I have also sat through more good seasons than almost any of you.
