Voters that hurt Marshall in the AP poll this week
Adam Zucker, CBS Sports, dropped us from 23 to 25, moved CSU, A&M and Georgia Tech in front of us.

Brent Mc Murphy, espn, dropped us from 23 to 24 moving Ga Tech in front of us.

Chad Crippe, Idaho Statesman, does not rank Marshall.

Charles Davis, Fox Sports, dropped us from 23 to 24, moved Ga Tech ahead.

Eric Avidon, Metrowest Daily News, does not rank Marshall, jumped CSU into the rankings.

Eric Hansen, South Bend Tribune, ranks no G5, put A&M at 21.

Gary Smits, Florida Times Tribune, dropped us from 23 to 24. Put Missouri in at 20.

Grant Ramey, Daily Times TN, does not rank Marshall, put CSU, Louisville, Minnesota and Ga Tech in this week.

Joey Knight, Tampa. Bay Times, dropped from 23 to 24, moved Missouri in ahead of us.

John Shinn, Oklahoma beat writer, dropped us from 23 to 25, brought in A&M at 18

Jon Wilner, San Jose mercury News, does not rank us, brought in CSU, Ga Tech and USC - at 18???

Josh Kendall, The State Columbia SC, dropped us from 23 to 25. Moved WVU UP from 24 to 20 for losing to 4-5 Texas??? Wvu grad maybe?

Kelli's Robinette, Wichita Eagle, debut ranking for CSU at 16??

Kyle Ringo, Colorado beat writer, does not rank us, jumped in CSU, Louisville and GT

Ross Deelenger, Baton Rouge, dropped from 23 to 24, jumped by Missouri

Scott Wolf, LA Daily News, from 23 to 25, moved in Missouri, A&M and GT

Steve Sipple, Lincoln Journal, dropped us 23 to 24, moved in Missouri

Tommy Deas, Tuscaloosa News, doesn't rank us, brought in CSU, Missouri, GT, and A&M this week. Put CSU at 19.

So those are the 18 of the 60 that either don't rank us at 9-0 or dropped us for winning 63-17. F' em.

You can just sift the through it and see all the regional bias in the votes. The poll is stupid because it's impossible to watch enough football in a weekend to make an accurate educated ranking.

This ranking has been rendered irrelevant. No secret that we have a schedule problem, but at least someone thinks we are a good team. It could be worse.

It is, and always will be an honor to be voted as a top 25 team in the cosches and the AP. Those polls have been around before others and will be here after.

I don't think it is irrelevant. If Marshall could move up each week a spot or two and get up in the 15 range it will put some kind of pressure on the committee because sports writers will start to question the discrepancy in their articles and over the air.

Nope. Completely disagree. The committee is already being questioned and personally, I don't think the Selection Committee poll should mimic the AP Poll.

I put far more weight into the AP poll than the "Coaches" poll and the Roy Kramer 12 person poll.

the one at the bottom of the list, Deas? From Tuscaloosa...Expect no less, you know who the head coach of Colorado State is, right? Jim McElwain, who used to be the OC at "Updyke U" (alabama), most of them are SEC tools, anyway.

The craziest one to me is Josh Kendall, who dropped y'all from 23 to 25 despite winning 63-17. But then turns around and moves WVU up from 24 to 20 FOR LOSING to a 4-5 Texas team.

WHAT?!?!?!

Kendall is the beat writer for South Carolina. Can't find if he has a wvu connection or not. If he doesn't then he must not pay attention to anything but the sec and doesn't realize Texas hasn't been good since Vince Young left.

Illustrates one reason the polls don't mean much: how many of those guys do you think has ever seen Marshall play? Or CSU, for that matter? Damn few.

RE: Voters that hurt Marshall in the AP poll this week
their "game" is rigged, only those they consider elite and "power" oriented are acknowledged. they snicker and make dismissive jokes about programs like Marshall, and they're wrong for that...But this is their mindset, their attitude, their private club, and nearly anyone that's not a "Cabal" member will be totally disavowed (and in rare cases, some of them get screwed over, too) & until Marshall joins the "dark side",, they can go unbeaten for 10 years. They're going to get the "goodbye look" from these miscreants.

I can't blame them.. Marshall hasn't played a legitimate team yet

The best team that they have played is a 5-4 MTSU team....

Pretty sad.
