What a movie. Nolan does it again ... mind = blown. Definitely Sci-Fi, but it kept me ad the edge of my seat the entire movie and it didn't even feel like a 3-hour movie.

RE: Interstellar
From a Cinematic perspective, it's probably the best-shot movie I've ever seen.

Is that the same guy who did Inception?

RE: Interstellar
I really enjoyed it. I don't want to give anything away to those that haven't seen it, but I thought it did a great job of using a unique plot device related to quantum physics that I've oft-discussed with others.

Which reminds me....anyone know of a 'Spoiler' code we can use in this forum? i.e.
spoilery text here
Yes. As well as The Prestige and Memento. Absolutely mind-blowing stuff, especially Memento. So I'm really looking forward to Interstellar.

Also the recent Christian Bale Batmen movies, no? Building a solid portfolio. Might have a future in the biz, lol...

Those were all great movies that you really had to pay attention to.

I was just surprised when at the end, everyone's faces melted and King Zorp became king of the universe.

It is a deep movie. I thought of 2001 A Space Odyssey for some reason. Don't know why.

It was really good but I feel like it's a bit overrated. If you step back and look at the plot it's kind of ridiculous. I'm generally not the kind of person that dissects movies but everyone is lauding it so much that I did with this one. Is it ok if we post spoilers here if we make it definitively clear we are doing so?

RE: Interstellar
I took my son to see this one and it was really good. I'm generally not a Sci Fi fan but this one was great. McConnaghey was a little to McConnaghey in the first hour but settled in nicely. Jon Lithgow is great as always and Jessica Chastain and Casey Afflec were great in their part.

I think the overall plot is a bit generic but the way Nolan executed it was incredible.

I'm not sure it's a movie that you want to see again but it's a movie that I don't regret going to the theater to see at all.

RE: Interstellar
I thought the first hour was awfully clunky. The story moved very quickly from plot contrivance to plot contrivance, with several awkward soliloquies. Once they got into space it was a much better movie. The ending quasi-justified some of the earlier contrivances, but it seems to me that the ultimate resolution is a giant paradox. I guess that's the risk you take making a movie about relativity and the space-time continuum.

Very entertaining movie. Worth seeing on the big screen.
