I don't think it has to do with not caring... I mean how many wins did most of us predict for the season? 4 to 6 at most. Anyone that gave us more than that was being overly optimistic.
We knew we still had weaknesses and unfortunately what we thought was our one strength (DL) has not been there that needed time to get through. We've shown flashes of potential here and there, but our kids have shot themselves in the foot a bunch as well (UTEP/LA tech games).
I think Talon said it best, outside of the shellacings against three teams (two of which are still undefeated), we've been in the rest of the games (and had a shot at winning at least the MTSU game, but we just gave it up on defense).
And yes, we only had about 60 scholarshipped athletes (which shocked me, I thought we were at the 70 mark this year, but considering how thin we've shown ourselves to be when starters have gone down, the lack of numbers shouldn't have surprised me).
I'm about in the same feeling as 83 is.. (and I'm terrified by what our basketball team will be like with looming sanctions and Doc "Slow it down like Molasses" Sandler.. but I guess considering with the bad combination, it should mean that Doc shouldn't be here too long (hopefully) {as I still think he was a DISASTER of a choice..}
