I think this is right on the mark. Cincinnati is probably playing the best of anyone in the league right now, and Memphis gets the nod for winning head-to-head.
ECU and UCF are interchangeable, Temple and Houston slide a few spots and Tulane rockets ahead to the middle of the pack with that impressive victory yesterday.
I agree, except I would swap Houston for UCF, given their special QB circumstances and the closeness of the outcome of their head - to - head match up (fumble into the endzone and all).
Probably go:
4 Houston
5 UCF
6 Temple

RE: Week 11: Rank the AAC
Cincy seems to be getting it together. We'll know more Thursday night. Nobody in the conference is great. Nobody is really a top 25 team. There is a lot of parity in the league.

Interesting. You have ECU ranked #6 for losing to your #4 team (as their only conf loss) and UCF #2 for losing to your #8 team (a team you say has bad losses).

It's hard to keep track of all the players without a score card. The post was half in jest, using Temple games as the measuring stick.
Yes, UCF can move down if you want them to. In reality, there is so much parity in this league that you could dump all the names of teams out of a cup and come up with an order that might have some logic to it. Memphis is the only one without a bad loss, which is why I have the separation gap. Same with SMU, the reciprocal condition, where the separation is obvious.

RE: Week 11: Rank the AAC
1. Memphis - Best pair of conference wins so far. Can't ding them for UCLA and Ole Miss losses. Most balanced team in league right now.
2. East Carolina - P5 wins are nice, but I think Memphis, UCF, and Cincy could beat UNC and V-Tech. No bad losses, but no good conference wins yet.
3. UCF - Still can't get over UConn loss, but enough good wins to keep them up here.
4. Cincinnati - Probably playing better than ECU and UCF right now, but I can't put them any higher until they get a good conference win.
5. Houston - 2 head-scratching losses. Houston should be better than 5-4.
6. Temple - Scrappy team. Not as good as the top 5, but clearly better than the bottom 5.
7. USF - More talented than the 4 teams below them, but still dismal results.
8. Tulane - Gotta give them their due for the Houston win.
9. Tulsa - Unimpressive vs. SMU.
10. Connecticut - Probably should put them at #9, but I am punishing them for making the whole AAC look bad by losing to Army.
11. SMU - Showed life at Tulsa. I think they will go to Connecticut at 0-11, but have a shot to win that game. Will be about as interesting as an 0-11 vs. 2-9 game can be.

Funny you said that. I thought the exact same thing about putting Memphis first.
Yes.
Feels seriously weird.
My shot at the rankings:
1. Memphis
2. ECU
3/4. UCF/Cincinnati
5. Temple
6. Houston
7. Tulane
8. USF
9. UConn
10. Tulsa
11. SMU
Regarding us not having ECU/UCF on our schedule:
1. The schedule was assigned to us by the conference. I know that's obvious but it seems to be missed by some in the peanut gallery.
2. Below are the preseason picks for the conference. Although they haven't yet performed as expected, the Tigers had 2 of the top 3 preseason picks on our schedule. I'm a fair minded guy, but I'm not going to make any apologies for our schedule.
