Thought Ohio St looked really good tonight. Think Meyer is going to have a real problem next year(the good kind of problem) in having 2 real good quarterbacks.

Real trap type game next week for Ohio St in playing at Minnesota.

Good games Spartans. I wasn't expecting the Buckeyes to take this game beforehand. Hope you win our the rest the way and your coach is one of my favorites in the game.

Yes. Ohio State looked very good. I had said beforehand that Michigan State would win this game "handily." Shows what I know.

I held the belief that Ohio State was the better squad. That was a great game but it was pretty evident to me through the games I have watched previously that OSU was the more talented squad. Barrett is something special.

I think Barrett is an incredible quarterback. I fear what he will be like in a few seasons.

I still am not a believer in Dantonio. I don't believe he can win a championship. He'll have very good teams but never get over the hump.

I have never really considered whether or not he could or could not get over the hump. I guess now that you have made that statement i do believe that he and MSU could get over the hump at some point. I think his good teams will lead to better recruits and with better potential you would get a better product on the field. IF you are saying the Dantonio just doesn't have the coaching talent or the right coaching style to win a N.C. I guess time will tell.

I do know that I am more than satisfied with him for the happy now and now.

I think that Michigan State could well be one of the winners from the conference expansion ... as they build out thicker recruiting networks in New Jersey and Maryland, there will be a substantial amount of legacy headwind in the old Big Ten footprint from not being one of the "old firm" that will just not be there. A good recent resume will go a long way.

Coaching style is what I'm referring to. Specifically the fact that he won't open up his offense at any level until his team is behind. It was the same way at UC. Brian Kelly came in with a completely different philosophy and lead them to 2 straight BCS games. You have to have a good defense, which he always will have that, but you have to be able to put a few points on the board as well if you want to win. Ask Jim Tressel about the importance of offense in his 2 losses to the SEC in BCS title games. No offense sunk the Buckeyes.

Urban Meyer recognizes he needs both hence he is successful.
