Coach Floyd said we were very fortunate to get him at UTEP. I am going to post the slam dunk contest from our orange-white scrimmage. Omega is the guy with the gray shirt on and the guy he jumps over on the last dunk is 6'7".

I have been high on Omega for over a year now. I'll tell you what though, Stallworth won me over at the scrimmage. I think Omega kept it in second gear that day though.

Lack of guard play hurt the miners last year. Will be interesting to see if these young guys can play early and have a significant impact.

It looks like Omega walking onto the court could be the end of many teams.

I'm sure it will make a heck of a difference. Remember last year when utilizing football players to fill in we almost pulled it off in conference. You can imagine how big the difference will be with real basketball recruits with stars after their names.

Sure we lost Bohannon but I really think Ced will be better than Bohannon ever was. He had some moves in that scrimmage even against defensive stalwarts like Hunter. Hunter just looked at Ced scoring at times because he couldn't do anything to stop him.

We will be better and you hear it from me first. We will go Dancing, so get your ballerina shoes ready Fit.

Omega has the potential to be something special, but don't sleep on Lew Stallworth. He didn't get the same kind of recruiting attention, but he's physically mature, appears to have a high basketball IQ, and has leadership skills. I see him in the mold of UTEP's old point guards- a real floor general. I think the Stallworth-Harris tandem will be a force. Obviously they're both freshmen and will lack experience, but with Cooper and Morris, I think our perimeter play will be a strength.
