Smart money are the bets that usually come in towards the end of betting. Most of this is done by professional gamblers.

My point is that you really can't tell what the "smart money" did until the game is decided.
The smart money took the points, yet the Tigers won. Good reason not to bet on your favorite team. Enjoy the win without the financial pain.
