Wow, beating an over-.500 team on the road and doing so in such a gritty way. Seriously, when is the last time that happened? It had to have been during the DeAngelo years.

Pretty sure we lead the conference by a half game for at least several hours as well. Pretty sweet for a November game.

Yep. First place all alone, for a few hours, at least. Win out, and the worst we do is tie.

Now, we need Cincy to beat Houston and ECU, we need ECU to beat UCF, and we need Temple to beat Cincy.

All that happens in both paragraphs, and we have the title alone.

If all other conferences have enough of their teams become bowl eligible...I agree with the bowl picks of Birmingham. Host cities need fans and bowl schools need too sell their allotments.

UCF to St. Pete
Memphis to Birmingham
Houston to Armed Forces in Ft. Worth
Temple to Annapolis
Cincy to Miami
East Carolina to outside Bowl

Mimi, that indeed is a logical guess of bowl assignments.

Unless the Pirates crash and burn now that their dream of an Access Bowl was shattered last weekend by the Temple squad MEMPHIS just iced up at Licoln Financial.

If MEMPHIS somehow wins the AAC football title with a 9-3 mark, and an outside bowl like the Independence opens up.....oh, yeah, grab it.

But I concur that Birmingham is the likely bowl destination.

Anyone else think the AAC schedulers will have MEMPHIS play ECU, UCF, and Temple in the East division rotation next season? Probably the Owls here and on the road for the other two.

Yes...we would be a possibility for an outside bowl...of fairly regional, since we would bring a lot of people.

By damn, he said he would do it when he arrived here, he asked for a few years, and he is doing it....along with a really great squad of guys. I am so happy for all of them. I just wished they could have had their band there to lead and sing at the end of the game.

Lots of players playing while hurt tonight and lots of players stepping up at the right time or being a workhorse like Paxton and Hayes and Frazier. How about the way Reggis Ball hung onto that fumble!!!! I think that gave us the momentum we really needed at that time. I know it was cold up there. I'm so proud of them all.
