The latest (In)famous Jameis story
http://www.ibnsportswrap.com/article.php?articleID=1716

Quote:Bookie meets with Chris Rabb morning before Louisville / Fla St game and receives $5,500 from Mr Rabb with instructions to bet Louisville +1 (1st Half) -110 to win back $5,000. Bet was placed and Louisville won 1st Half vs Fla St (21-7).

Mr Rabb is now suppose to receive $5,000 for winning bet + his $5,500 initial bet (square up day is Tuesday)

Bookie gets information late Sunday night that he's been "Played for a fool" as Mr Rabb and Jameis Winston are former teammates and conspired together on the above mentioned first half wager. Bookie wants no part of paying the debt.

That's why on our ACC Pickem contest we stress that the point spreads are for display purposes only. We don't want to be a bad influence. 05-stirthepot

I'm guessing Winston is declared ineligible to play college football in mid-January, and he declares for the NFL draft.

That could be. I said early in the season I thought this was his last college year even though he said he was coming back for a third year.

I call B.S., Louisville flat out beat FSU in that first half. The fourth quarter Louisville broke down and turnover sealed the fate. He might have been involved, but the Tape should prove if there was shenanigans going on and would be obvious.

Point shaving works much better in basketball than football.

RE: The latest (In)famous Jameis story
it'd be one thing if FSU had been lights out in the 1st half all season other than UofL. Even tonight again, FSU has not looked like a top team before the half. They've trailed at the half four times I believe.

That isn't to say they aren't worthy of their ranking because they've finished every game without a blemish, but there is a pattern to FSU struggling in the 1st half.

It's a disgrace that this idiot is still on a roster. Says a lot about college sports. Hope nobody drafts his stupid ass.

I bring the heat. You bring up the rear.

Some odd, first-hand story about "incarcerated Bob" from last year. Seriously, the fact that anyone with a normal set of chromosomes would believe a story like this is beyond me.

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that anyone with access to $5000 who also considers it enough money to make a stink about it would bet it on FSU being ahead in the first half of a football game against a good team on basically even terms. FSU is undeniably the best team in the country today, but that achievement is based on winning some close games and gutting it out in the second half sometimes.

ESPN has ignored this story for the most part. Normally by now this would have blown up in the national media - like it did when NBA officials were rigging games.

There are many things that Winston has done wrong (and are worth punishment). I don't buy this story like I do the others.

Think about what you are saying for a minute. Had you considered the possibility that FSU isn't playing well in the first half all season for a reason? Maybe they only play up to their awesome ability in the second half so somebody can win a few bets without them having to lose a game and their spot in a playoff.

Of course, the same suspicion could fall on any powerhouse team that loses the first half and comes storming back in the second half to win.

I'm not accusing anybody of anything. But if I were going to put the fix in on a college football bet, I would do it on a first half bet. I'm surprised bookies even take bets like that.

RE: The latest (In)famous Jameis story
ALWAYS believe what the media sells. They are never wrong (signed Duke Lacrosse).

NEVER believe the media is out to create a villain, because a villain is bad for media business (except the EXACT opposite).

IGNORE the back freshman center getting Winston KILLED every snap and the true freshman WRs whose screw ups are causing INTs (because Winston is so good and can purposely go down 7-21 points and turn it on and win with these same Freshman around him)

TRUST a source with the name 'incarcerated bob. (same guy that accused TJ Boyd last year....right?)

I swear, the media could tell folks aliens have landed and 75% of the population would believe it.

Someone recently tried to extort money from Louisville claiming that some basketball players were involved in point shaving. That person is now behind bars. Accusations are a dime a dozen, where is the proof?
