Good luck with all going on right now. Finally a glimmer of hope for your team winning some games and good coach then all hell breaks loose

I don't view this as a huge deal. If it is true, then one of our players was an idiot and he's kicked off the team...then probably prosecuted for it, since it is illegal.

...all by design, too...they have a pattern of obstruction & sabotage when it comes to UAB Football. This isn't the only thing they've done to try and destroy our program, only the most extreme and evil...A curse on all their houses...

I am reading other message boards that (which surprisingly...not) has "UAB Dropping Football threads. All I can say is for a program that no one cares about or think even exist, there is a lot of venom being thrown our way. Granted it's from misguided and uninformed posters but wow talk about kicking somebody when they're down.

I recall a few years ago Tulane said similar things about their program which prompted a massive donation drive and more interest for a short while. Some times a little fear goes a long way. The Saints had moving rumors for years and when they were just about leave people banded together and made things work. The more crap the BOT catches nationally the less likely they are touch UAB football

@KingKong: in Alabama, bear Bryant jr is the "Teflon Don" when it comes to college football, he's treated like a god by most of these weak-kneed media types and sheepish excuses for football fans, his influence stretches all the way to the governor's mansion, who by the way, used to Bryant sr's dermatologist. It's a "family" affair, a la Boardwalk Empire.

I'm well aware of the situation. It wasn't too long ago that he crushed the dreams of an on campus stadium. The guy is a full fledged POS. It has always befuddled me how the media is always about the little guy in ALL situations except college football.

First, the BOT, then this, and to wrap it all up, the basketball team loses an exhibition game. This nightmarish week has to be over soon.
