Therefore, I don’t see FSU getting behind 28-7 and beating Miss St, Bama, Auburn, and Ole Miss (even LSU)….

So by that logic, the struggles those SEC West teams had against lower ranked and unranked teams, can we look at that and conclude that those teams are not nearly that good either? Or do we just ignore that? Need I remind anyone about Miss St and Kentucky? OR Miss St and Arkansas? Or Alabama vs. Arkansas? I mean do we just ignore that, when discussing those teams? Or is it because Arkansas is in the SEC West, the fact that they suck donkey ballz becomes irrelevant?

Did Miss St. or Bama get behind 21 points to those schools (I'm not sure)? As someone who is very knowledge when it comes to comparing fact and fiction, are we to believe that Miss St or Bama would get behind 20+ points to NC St and struggle the first half with WF? However, I can see both teams struggling somewhat with Louisville on the road, but not in the manner FSU did. Nevertheless, do you really think FSU can get behind 28-7 and beat Miss St, Bama, Auburn, and Ole Miss? As much as I appreciate and respect the opinions that you have shared on this board and enlightened many (including me), I disagree with you when it comes to FSU and certain schools in the SEC west.

You were doing pretty well until this apples & oranges comparison.

NC State and Wake both play FSU every single year. NC State in particular seems to circle that game on the schedule when it is played in Raleigh. To provide a valid comparison you'd have to choose an SEC team that plays Alabama or Miss St as a rivalry game. For Bama I'd pick Tennessee - a lesser team than Bama, but when the game is in Knoxville it's a struggle for the Tide. Not sure if there's a comparable game on the Miss. State schedule.

As for the number of points FSU has trailed by, again it's not a valid comparison for this reason - FSU is an offensive team. They score more and give up more, so a bigger points lead means less to them.

Could the 2014 FSU team come from 18 down vs. 2013 Auburn? Who knows? I can see why you'd say no, but in truth we have no idea.

I respect your opinion.... However, the aforementioned SEC schools "probably" (the unexpected could happen) would not get behind 20+ points to NC St because they play a different style of football. They would ground and pound NC St at home until there's no sound from the crowd.... FSU doesn't play that kind of physical football, which is why Louisville was manhandling it the first half. Fortunately for FSU, it took a colossal defensive collapse by Louisville the second half for it to win. Moreover, the way Louisville played D the first half is how most SEC west schools play D the entire game along with power offense. I truly hope FSU remains undefeated and plays either Auburn or Bama the first round (one and done in my opinion).

Btw.... Please consider that FSU was blowing out most of its opponents last year until it was on the verge of being blown out against a SEC opponent (Auburn) that should have lost to Georgia and could have lost at home against Bama….

Maybe, but those same teams would also have more losses. And it's not as though they have no losses either (save for Miss St) who has yet to play two of the better teams.

I'm basing my opinion on how FSU played from behind against NC St and Louisville (and struggled the first half with WF). This may be a shock to your system, but no one in the SEC can pass the ball worth a damn....the good QBs this year are Dak Prescott and Nick Marshall, and neither one of them are exactly passing gunslingers

There's a lot of teams that would have A LOT of success in the SEC right now....hell, West Virginia was passing the ball all over Bama, and that was the first game of the year for them.

Oregon, FSU, Baylor, Oklahoma, and TCU would have success in the SEC this year....

Auburn doesn't look as good as last year, and got outplayed by Kansas State

get off your high horse

NC St and Louisville stopped FSU for one half, but lacked the ground and pound attack to control the game. The SEC schools that I've mentioned would likely wear down FSU's defense. In addition to this, there is no way this year's FSU team would come back from being 20+ points down and beat Miss St, Auburn, and Bama (which was my main point). I will bet you a sig or rep points (+2 for you if FSU win and -2 for me, but the opposite if FSU lose) that FSU will not win if it plays one of the three aforementioned SEC schools in the playoffs (are you up for the challenge)....

Btw... We can work out the details through pms once the final four are selected (with the approval of a Mod(s).....

The problem with your posts is that they deny reality. West Virginia lost. Kansas State lost. In fact the only three schools that have beaten SEC teams this year from out of conference are Oklahoma over Tennessee (OU an overwhelming favorite) and Temple (has proven to be much better than people thought) over Vanderbilt (which has proven to be much worse than people thought), and the inexplicable Indiana over Missouri.

The SEC has three wins against the Big 12 this year with two of them against top Big 12 schools. And we have a win over Wisconsin, who is still in contention in the Big 10. And we will know how the weak SEC East fares against the ACC later.

Clemson is the team that isn't what it was last year. But they are good enough to still be winning. Duke is having another great year for Duke. Louisville isn't up to speed yet. Other than that the ACC is void of challengers. So who knows what F.S.U. has or doesn't have. Yeah they played Notre Dame, but we don't know what N.D. has yet. The next few weeks will out a lot of things. But in sports it is what it is. A win is a win. A loss is a loss. And excuses and explanations are what they are as well, the conversation points of losers.

That's not quite correct sir. Clemson held Florida State to 17 in regulation. I agree though that they had no trouble with the mighty defenses of the Citadel, Wake Forest, Syracuse and North Carolina State.

That's not quite correct sir. Clemson held Florida State to 17 in regulation.

That would be just a slight bit more impressive had Winston been playing. 07-coffee3

You did a nice job of completely dodging the issue. Let's try this another way: Kentucky and Arkansas (removing their game against east other are a combined 2-38 in the last 3 seasons in the SEC. 2 of those 3 wins were against other teams who were winless in conference (meaning both teams could not lose). When either of these teams push your league leaders and contenders, there is no room for ANY of those teams to suggest anther team struggling versus a lower team in their own league means they are worse. Absolutely in no way does that hold up.
