Yes he did, made the All-Rookie team with Atlanta. Great player, even better guy. RIP my friend,

We are forgetting Scott Dill, 9 year NFL veteran.

Oh man...when did Tory pass away? What happened? Much too young.

Wasn't Tim Harris a pro bowler with the 49ers for a minute? Maybe even an SI story on him at the time, unless my memory is wrong

Good memory. Anyone know what Tim is up to now days?

Keith Butler maybe the best? Stephen Gostkowski is having a great career but being a kicker he is low key. Issac Bruce also but that was due in large part to the offense ST. Louis ran.

Mortgage business in San Francisco last I heard. He came back a few years ago for a game. Tim (Spoon) was a pretty good guy, I always enjoyed spending time with him.

Derrick Burroughs had problems with his spinal column (injury), and the NFL would not allow him to play. He went and spent a great deal of time playing in Canada. He was the 13th pick in the first round in 85 I think. I have trouble remembering.

Harris is easy top 5. I agree Bruce is one, probably DeAngelo two.

I love Dontari, but way too early for him to be on the all-time list.

Harris was a beast. I got stuck on an elevator in Richardson with him back in the day. Absolutely huge.

Trivia for some old timers: What Tigers NFL cornerback had more intercepted passes thrown in college than he did actual interceptions?

Burroughs played a few productive years in Buffalo. McKenzie was the hardest hitter of the bunch. Remember him as a freshman just killing guys

I believe Dontari is in his third year now. He lead the league last year in most snaps played by any NFL player and has become one of the top nose guards in the league. Probable Pro Bowler this year or next. Short career but extremely impactful right out of the gate his rookie year.
After looking at it, I would probably move Tim Harris up a bit.

Wade Smith. Still playing too. Started as TE here, moved to tackle and has been at it for about 9 years.

1-7 are pretty solid.
You have to add Keith Simpson, and move up Tim Harris. There's your top 9.
To me, #10 would then be Jerome Woods.
You also have Middleton, McKenzie, Andy Nelson, Wade Smith, Bob Rush, Tony Williams, Ken Irvin and Idrees Bashir.
Those guys are all ahead of Dontari right now. Dontari could end up being #1 over time. But he's not top 10 right now.

RE: Top Tiger Football Players of all time Professionally
Like I said the original list was off the top of my head being a Tiger fan since 78. My thoughts are impact is as important as length of career, but length does get equal consideration. After considering your counters I have settled on this. I added Nelson and Woods after a couple of suggestions and checking their stats. Long careers with a Pro Bowl get you in. Harry was a 3 time Pro Bowler, so he moves way up.

1)Isaac Bruce
2)Harry Schuh
3)DeAngelo Williams
4)Earnest Gray
5)John Bull Bramlett
6)Keith Simpson
7)Keith Butler
8)Stephen Gostkowski
8)Tim Harris
9)Andy Nelson
10)Jerome Woods

I thought Dontari made the Pro Bowl already.

Like your list. But if it is about Sunday's game impact, Tim Harris moves up, Ernest Gray a little down.

1)John Bull Bramlett

3)DeAngelo Williams
4)Earnest Gray
5)Harry Schuh
6)Stephen Gostkowski (Edited: Keith Simpson in here about the middle of the pack thanks to K2tigers)
7)Keith Butler
8)Dontari Poe
9)Tim Harris
10)Terdell Middleton
Don't for get Russell Copeland. Played in # Super Bowls for the Bills. Didn't win any but played in 3. Also Keith Wright. Was cut one game before he could get his NFL pension.

Earnest Gray was a perennial star with the Giants for several years. I might move Harris past Gotskowski but you can make an argument not to move him ahead of Butler or Simpson.
