I saw the video at iron city - yes that is the good news.

The bad news that in same breath mentioned the BJCC which drives some on this board crazy - I actually have fond memories of the BJCC

Hopefully this matchup is able to happen. I would love to see us beat both Auburn and The Gumps in hoops yearly.

I believe Pearl would look at a UAB/AU series as another opportunity to make the Gumps look bad. He is all about that...

The BJCC is fine by me. We need to make this. I'd be happy with 2 at auburn, one at the BJCC, and one at bartow. Anything with lesser terms I think we should refuse. It's a good series, we need to make it happen, win the games, and then start making demands for where they are played.

I would be extremely disappointed if it is anything less that a home and home. Unless Hasses stance has changed he feels the same.

Rumor going around is a 4 game series, 2 at Auburn arena and 2 at BJCC with teams splitting the gate. Hope it happens I am just glad we are seriously discussing playing again, it has been far too long and the rivalry will be good for both schools. Hopefully this will be the beginning again to a long and competitive series! Good luck this season to the Blazers!

I say Bartow Arena or forget it.

Why would we have to split the gate? Tell them home and home or nothing. Frack that POS Pearl and his ego.

Either all at the BJCC or home and home.

While I would really like to play AU, its Bartow or no deal which might make us look bad. If they want the BJCC then I'd ask for neutral site in Montgomery two and two.

So the deal is that they get to play on their home court and we don't? Screw that noise.

You want the BJCC and a split gate? Sure, no problem! as long as the AU end is to play in Montgomery and split the gate there too.

Absolutely no deal if it's a damn split gate. I'm one of the few blazer fans who doesn't mind 2-1-1, but we keep the BJCC gate if that's the case. Otherwise- home and home, neutral site and neutral site, or all games at the BJCC with a split gate. It makes sense for these schools to play, we don't need stupid ass stipulations ruining it.

This is what I think is happening. An Auburn buddy is going toe to toe with me with two bammer friends over the football issue. Insightful arguments have been made, but I am convinced they brainwash Bammer grads into thinking UAB does not deserve a football team and it is a waste of money. An argument was made the money invested in football at UAB should be invested in research. I replied if that is true then the same should apply to bammer because there are quality researchers there too.

But if that happened, how could they afford more waterfalls?

That's not the point I was making.

The 2-1-1 and such deluded crap is why they are not on our schedule this season.
