RE: markel
Since this was in the recruiting forum, I looked and hoped it was an old post.....not so. Hate to see it....I wonder just how much he will really play this year if not injured?

RE: markel
I spoke w/ a guy very close to the team. Said Markel was falling behind in the pecking order in his opinion. Obviously my guy doesn't know what the rotation will be, but said he doesn't see many minutes for Markel. This was before any injury talk...

FWIW, he said he would be surprised if Burrell wasn't the starting 2 vs. WSU and Kuran & pookie the top 2 off the bench.

So would that be with Nick Starting.

RE: markel
He's definitely got the talent. Reports last season said he played well against the 4 kings.

Injuries are a pain. I have had on going knee issues for about 6 years now. They aren't fun.

RE: markel
I didn't really expect Markel to get big minutes this year.

Several upper classmen are ahead of him.

If I remember correctly, Markel was Damon Stoudemire's pick as the top player in Memphis HS.

Yep, we took him over JaJuan Johnson who ended up at Marquette.
