Because everyone automatically believes we suck regardless of performance or record.

"Holy crap. You lost to Middle Tenn. Wow you must be bad. That's like like losing to my high school team."

In reality, SMU is the only truly bad team in the AAC. All of the others that LOOK bad on PAPER bc of their RECORD have actually played the top half of the conference close in most games. Just bc Tulane, Tulsa, etc have records that make them look bad doesn't mean they're bad. They've played the good teams in conference close. Like Memphis last year. Memphis came up just minuscule points away from knocking off UCF, Houston, and Louisville. But here on this CUSA board, we were made fun of for our losing record. Bottom line, top to bottom, AAC>CUSA and all of you know it

Sorry, but over here we will disagree. Good teams in the AAC? Houston was taken to the woodshed by UTSA, who may be our last place West team. Tulsa was run over by FAU, who is struggling in C-USA for bowl eligibility. Tulsa also lost to a Sunbelt team (Texas State).

We're all hoping Rice and Louisiana Tech (possible championship game) play Marshall tight in nationally televised games. If Marshall goes to the Access Bowl, and Rice and Louisiana Tech pick up P5 bowl opponents as a result, the dialogue will change off-season. I think the AAC fans know that.

And we're both looking up at the MWC.

I can't argue with it at this point. You have lost to good teams. It's either Rice, UTEP or us. I think we may be better but I couldn't fault someone who thinks differently.

Quote:Do you think when North Texas looks back on the 2014 season it will really regret the 43-6 win over SMU in September? Had the Mean Green lost that game, it would definitely be in the top five right now, and could possibly be battling for the No. 1 spot.

Oh what could have been.

In defense, Houston is a different team with Ward at QB.

SMU is terrible and Tulane/Tulsa are very bad. UConn is actually playing well right now and USF looks good one week and bad the next.

As a homer, I think AAC is better then CUSA but after our top 5 we are pretty crappy.

I hope Marshall gets the access spot over Boise and CSU. They are a good team and fun to watch. If they can put a beat down on a P5 team, then I'm all for it.

Can't stand Boise after all their demands and who cares about CSU.

I disagree with Army's ranking. We lost to Kent State and Yale. We should be higher on the list.

Only one way to settle this... head-to-head matchups- oh wait. Nevermind.

The American teams will continue to beat up on each other for years to come. Same with the MWC. Still the best of the G5 Conferences.
