Dear toddjnsn,,
Where's the discussion of the wonderful attendance at last night's game? Yes the weather was bad, it was a Tuesday night game, and election night, but let's call a spade a spade. The attendance was maybe a few dozen. Let's hold other schools accountable beside Eastern. It's called objectivity.
Dear wmutkelaw,
That's easy. Stop making misleading statements, exaggerations, and sometimes false statements, about Eastern and I won't have to show up as often.
Kent claimed 7,471. BY far their lowest attendance. Yeah, maybe a bit too high? Maybe it should have been around 5,500? Dunno. By 2nd half most cleared out of course, so I can't go by that. But seeing some of the 1st half -- yeah. It was a Tuesday night game too (less attendance for teams who don't get a lot).
Here's the thing. My complaint about EMU's issue is: With only 5,500 fans -- they'd claim 15,000-17,000, not 7,471. EMU goes way overboard has been my complaint.

Announced attendance: 7,471
And their stadium looked the same as an average EMU game, where EMU announces 20,000.

Ken, my comments about EMU are backed by facts. Orange Taylor, etc.
Would you argue that EMU has a great collegiate atmosphere? Or rather more of a commuter university/community college?
Dear wmutkelaw,
One can say they had a great college experience at any college. My time spent at Eastern was based on living on campus. That I think is the important criteria. If one spends very little time on campus (being a commuter), then I think the experience is diminished. So, in that sense, Eastern had a great collegiate experience for me. As many of you may also state about Western.
Ken, I agree with your assessment of the college experience 100%. I especially enjoy those passionate knowledgeable fans from those schools. We had a great experience this fall with a fan from Ball State after the game. We were enjoying our beer at the post game tailgate and this guy walks up with his red and white Ball State bib overalls on, and starts talking football with us. He was impressed with our team and stated as much with plenty of praise for Jarvion Frankln. I've done the same at away venues.
There is nothing wrong with displaying great sportsmanship in this day and age. I enjoy being a part of it, and practicing it every day of the year. I hope you stay around and chat with us about the game a week from Saturday. If you are coming to the game, stop by our parking lot and introduce yourself. W
I would go as far as saying that that I enjoy WMU beating EMU more than CMU.
I could go into my reasons for the dislike, it is deep. I won't bother. The dislike has nothing to do with you, personally. I am glad you had a good time at EMU.
Darn, I wasted my 1000th post on this...actually this is my 2nd time hitting 1000, as my posts regarding PJ got deleted.

Ken is a passionate alum, and I love that. Particularly when it’s from a MAC school. He feels the same way about Eastern as I do about Western; and like the rest of us, he wears it on his sleeves.
Dear Ken,
You are OK with me. Even though you are wrong about a lot of things, you are a pretty good visitor here.
....and for the rest of you, be nice to Ken. He is a proud MAC alumni. ......he just has a lot less reason to be than us WMU alumni. But he does the best with what he has.

Luke, you know there is a penalty for saying you hate anything more than CMU. You better post whatever you need to post before you get banned.
