This article says he has but he does not appear on the participation chart in game notes. Anyone know which is right?

He was in full uniform for the Miami game, but I haven't seen him actually play yet.

I thought he got into the game against Presbyterian but not 100% sure.

According to this weeks packet of notes, he has not. He isn't listed on the participation chart for any game.

The participation chart is not 100% accurate. Last year it had Bobby Jones at participated in a game but he did not play at all.

When was it announced that tommylee was out for the full year? Was this recent? Not sure how I missed that.

One of the ESPN3 announcers said that Hallmon made a tackle in that game but it wasn't him. As far as I know he hasn't played at all.

I do not recall seeing Deion Hallmon playing. However, armour248 posted in the Miami game thoughts that Deion Hallmon tweeted that he’s done with football and just wants to make money. I presume the coaches saw or heard about that and one would think his practices reflect that attitude. His offers out of high school looks like a who’s who of college football. However, I suspect we will not see much (if anything) out of Deion Hallmon, and if that is his attitude I am not sure I want to see him on the field at all! These young men can have all the talent in the world, but without heart and attitude they will not live up to the talent level and hype. I’ll take the lower ranked player that has heart and attitude anytime; how many stars and offers did JL have! I still chuckle when I think about Santa puking on the field during a game (I think it was last year) and he just puts his mouth piece back in and lines up with the let’s go attitude; that is a young man I want playing on the team I rout for! Recruiting rankings = a crap shoot and you cannot judge how good the player or class is until they are in the system for at least a year and often longer.

We don't know whether Deion meant that tweet literally or was joking or was just blowing off steam so I don't know that we should be drawing too many conclusions at this time. A redshirt year has to be tough for guys who were big stars in high school. If he's frustrated and uses that frustration as motivation to get bigger, stronger, faster and better then that can be a very good thing.

I sure hope this is right, he just said something he should not have (he is quite young) and he does have the heart and attitude to play at this level. It would be great if someone that heavily recruited and with his talent has the heart and attitude; an awesome combination! Well time will tell (a year or more after being in the program like I said) and I sure hope he turns out to be a positive and a big-time player at NIU!

On the team but not playing according to a teammate.

I saw Deion Hallmon the other day at a local restaurant,very pleasant and courteous kid. He looks very strong and Athletic. He has some Huskie pride there, wants to Contribute and Bring NIU a Bowl win. Nice to see athletes being positive and all in for the team.
