Temple played good defense. They gave up a tad over 420 yards. ECU played lights out defense and lost. Giving up only 135 yards total offense was a dominating defensive performance. Too bad the 5 lost fumbles and fumbled snap to the punter was the deciding factor of the game. Hats off to Temple for recovering their own fumbles and ours.

Lol... How many times did ECU tackle wide open Temple receivers, for pass
Interference...3? 4?

Why would temple take any chances when ECU did nothing with its offense on Temples side of the field. Play conservative and punt let your defense win you the game. ECU was pitching the ball and throwing screens Ina downpour. Of course you can get yards that way but you also FUMBLE.

It would have been a close game either way, ECU hasn't beaten anyone better than Temple all year. Both teams are average teams in the league. North Carolina is a bottom 50 team and would be a great matchup vs vanderbilt.

Temple didn't play great but they won... If anything that shows the growth of the program because it used to be even on an amazing day we would lose.

I am sick of hearing these poorass excuses about the weather from ECU fans. We played in the same conditions....we made defensive stops when we had to and as another poster mentioned your D (esp. secondary) kept making bad decisions that resulted in penalties. Your guys looked bored, played that way, and lost. Fair and simple. Tell yourselves in your heads that you would've won 99 out of 100 times. TU beat ECU and that's reality.

Temple was the better team yesterday. Nothing more needs to be said.

I have a feeling both teams will show how good they are the rest of the way. I would not take much from this game other than the score.

Temple won the game. That's all that really matters. But don't get too hyped Temple fan. The weather affected ECU much more bc of the style of offense we play. Temple much better suited for a quagmire game. That being said ECU stunk up the joint with 7 fumbles and that is all Temple needed to win. 135 yards total offense and win, pretty unbelievable.

Normal weather conditions and ECU wins the game fairly easily IMO. See you next year in Gville Owls.

I basically said our team pussed out in the weather and Temple manned up. Not sure that's blaming the weather or making excuses.
