Week 11 predictions
All 11 teams in action this coming week-- 5 conference games and 1 non-conference. Here is how I see it:

South Alabama at Arkansas St.: South Alabama is a hard team to figure out. They are capable of winning this game but I can't pick against Ark. St. at home. I will say Ark. St. 34 South Alabama 24.

Ga. State at Troy: Which team has quit the most? After watching Ga. State's absolutely pitiful performances the past 2 weeks I refuse to pick them until they show me something. Troy 42 Ga. State 24

ULM at App. St.: App. St. is playing much better now and ULM does not seem to have much of an offense. On Black Saturday in Boone I think App. wins again. App. 28 ULM 20

Ga. Southern at Texas St.: Maybe the game of the week in the conference this week. It all comes down to can Texas St. slow down the Ga. Southern offense. I expect a tight game but I will go with Ga. Southern 31 Texas St. 24.

Idaho at San Diego St.: Idaho can't do any worse than 8 turnovers-- the number they had vs. Ark. St. yesterday. San Diego St. may not be a great team but they should handle Idaho. SDSU 45 Idaho 31.

Louisiana at NMSU: This could be a trap game for Louisiana but they just have too much talent for NMSU. Louisiana 35 NMSU 24.

This is the second time this season the bobcats have faced the #1 rushing team in the nation, I hope we are ready for it this time.

RE: Week 11 predictions
South Alabama at Arkansas St.: stAte beat Idaho thanks to 8 turnovers. USA could have beat UL but it turned into a battle of kickers. I think the home team wins.

Ga. State at Troy: Benson and the Sun Belt office will pass out brand new, 800 thread count Egyptian cotton, goose down feather pillows for this battle. Only the bet for these two. I would pick GSU expect they have really got bad the last two games. Troy is a squeaker.

ULM at App. St.: App St is looking better and better each week. The weather will once again be talked about endlessly for the week but ULMs defense keeps them in the game and they win off a rare red zone TD. The Warhawks will have beaten two NC teams.

Ga. Southern at Texas St.: GS finally looks for revenge from the 2005 playoff game where the Bobcats crushed them in the second half and sent the Eagles into a BVG tailspin. The Eagles have to have an off week RIGHT???? I doubt it. Willie Fritz has played and beat TXST during his SHSU years so it's nothing new for him. If the Bobcats offense plays its best then this will be a hell of a game. I'm guessing the Bobcat defense holds up early but the offense won't give them enough rest and they wear down like the UL game.

Idaho at San Diego St.: Idaho isn't as bad as their record shows but 8 turnovers is a recipe for a loss for any team. SDSU will win and Idaho will look forward to improving for next year.

Louisiana at NMSU: NMSU is much better then their record as well. Decent offense but really really bad discipline. UL gets back to crushing teams and win easy. Enjoy Casa de Autos commercials Cajun fans!

I'm not saying the Cajuns can't lose this game, but if they do it won't be because they were looking past the Aggies. This team gave the Cajuns all they wanted last year at Cajun Field. I don't believe Hud will let the boys forget that.

S. Alabama vs stAte could be a war. I'm betting this will be a really good game with the Jags fighting for their post-season life.

I don't know about fighting for their postseason life. Its true that if they lose here, they are sitting at 5-4 with Texas State, @ South Carolina, Navy left, but even at 6 wins they are really only needing to beat out Texas State for an Alabama based bowl.

No, he's saying that if USA and us end up at the same record (or even possibly if we have a better record), an Alabama based bowl will take USA over us. USA will be able to travel better (they are freaking local!) so a better turnout. Plus, their name will be better known to the local Alabamians (I actually REALLY like that phrase) than ours.

Well, unless one thinks that Texas State, South Carolina, and Navy are guaranteed to beat the Jags and Arkansas State is their last chance at a win. They still have to win one more to get eligible.

Truthfully, Georgia Southern needs them to beat Navy to end the season.

I was thinking about that just a little while ago. If TxSt makes it to 7 wins and Navy doesn't make it to six wins, then we should get serious consideration for the Armed Forces bowl.

Come on 87. With a 10 point spread for GS against your Bobcats, I was sure you were going to bet the house! Just kidding....GS will show the Bobcats more team speed than they've seen this year. Both teams run a similar offense, but the GS QB is more active in the run game. The Bobcats throw it more, but GS does have a passing game if needed. Should be a great game.

I would of opened it up a little more, but if you saw our D at New Mexico, .... Well, you can understand why I'm hedging my bet .... 04-cheers

I was referring to getting to 7 wins. While I realize 6 is bowl-eligible, I certainly hope no 6-6 Belt team goes bowling, certainly not if there's another who finishes at 7 wins.

South Alabama at Arkansas St.: I'll take the Jags, 24-21.

Ga. State at Troy: Troy wins 40-31. Georgia State couldn't stop the local middle school team. Which is actually pretty damn good.

ULM at App. St.: I think Appy squeezes on out. 28-21.

Ga. Southern at Texas St.: Bad feeling bout this. Eagles fall 35-33.

Idaho at San Diego St.: SDSU 41-28.

Louisiana at NMSU: Louisiana 38 NMSU 31.
