Because it the separation of who's in the bowl picture and out. Realistically, CUSA will probably have 6 or 7 bowl eligible teams so that is why I just ask for the Top 7.

2. Marshall - Is the pressure getting to them?
3. La Tech - They along with Rice has definitely got things on track.
4. UTEP - Quietly going about their business.
5. MTSU - Very consistent.
6. UAB - The surprise team of CUSA this season.
7. FAU/FIU - Just can't quite get over the hump.

Well, we have 6 teams that cant lose another game to get to a bowl already... 7 is a stretch. But then again over 60% of teams make a bowl this season so it could happen.

Yeah... i too, was just about to put the only undefeated and ranked team thats winning by 30 a game 2nd in cusa to a 4 loss team too. Then i sobered up.
We are 3rd in cusa in rushing defense and 45th or so nationally.
Also we are 27th nationally in total defense and 7th in scoring, 26th in passing defense (not sure where you pulled those numbers from?)
But we do remain #1 in scoring defense and total defense.... and thats what matters. So yes, id take our d over techs anyday of the week. Especially when you factor in the starters have sat out more than a full game this season where the 3rd string has allowed half our scoring allowed etc in garbage time.

Not that I agree with the rankings, but Rice only has 3 losses. Unless you are counting the ODU loss twice.
