Depth isn't just having another body to insert at a position. It is having a guy that has significant playing experience in games. We didn't have that at QB this season is all I'm saying. I don't want the guy's first passes to be in a critical game and situation.

You always have depth in bodies. Experience only helps if those bodies have skills. In terms of skills, ZT, Stewart, Thomas, and Wassink are as good as we've ever had.

Not many backup QBs get a lot of game reps, let alone opportunities to throw it. But everyday in practice 2nd team offense goes against 1st team defense, and the play book is wide open. That's probably better experience than coming in in a blowout with EMU and going against their backups.
