AAC could end up with 6 co-champions
This is what would need to happen:

- Houston beats Tulane, Tulsa, SMU and loses to Cincinnati
- Cincinnati beats Houston, ECU, UConn and loses to Temple
- ECU beats UCF, Tulane, Tulsa and loses to Cincinnati
- Memphis beats Tulane, USF, UConn and loses to Temple
- UCF beats Tulsa, SMU, USF and loses to ECU
- Temple wins out vs. Memphis, Cincinnati, Tulane

All 6 schools finish league play at 6-2. Hilarity ensues.

Bring it on. 04-rock

How long did it take for you to work out that scenario?

About 5 minutes. I was on the crapper with my laptop and pulled up everybody's schedules on ESPN. It was actually really easy. There might be another scenario or two, but obviously Temple has to win out.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there are other scenarios, but I would imagine this one is the most likely way for it to happen.

lol...kinda have to agree. Jeez---nothing like a conference shooting itself in the foot.

On the other hand, I can help be just a little happy that my team has managed to climb back into contention after that embarrassing opening night in August. After that night I figured we would just be playing out the string by now.

I'm guessing 2 co-champs when it's all said & done & not in the access bowl.........and while I'd love for Memphis to be one of the co-champs, I don't think the AAC gets the access bowl in that scenario.

Or

Houston wins out
ECU loses @ Cincy
UCF loses @ ECU
Memphis loses a game (Temple?)

And Houston wins the conference outright.

I don't think so. It's not a stretch to imagine ECU and Boise State winning out. 2 loss ECU would probably get the bid over 2 loss Boise State since they have 2 P5 OOC wins. Probably still need Marshall to drop one though. Lots of football left, however....

All you Texans are going to enjoy playing in 15°-20° weather up in early December.

good news is our bowl games are all so bad it doesn't really matter if you finish first or sixth.....if you don't get an access bowl slot then winning the conference is worth dog$@% because our bowl line up totally sucks

iF it ends in a tie, there is no way to determine a true champ, anyway.

UCF in Military Bowl vs ACC
Memphis in Birmingham Bowl vs SEC
ECU in Miami Bowl vs BYU
Houston in Ft Worth Bowl vs Big 12
Cincy at St Petersburg Bowl vs ACC
Temple in Bahamas Bowl vs MAC

If Marshall wins out and goes to the Access Bowl, then everyone will schedule cupcakes OOC. The selection committee needs to consider that.
